Driving ovals is harder than it looks. Juan Pablo Montoya STILL HAS NOT won an oval race in NASCAR. If you want another examples of F1 driver to NASCAR how about Christian Fittipaldi or Scott Speed. They struggled bad in NASCAR.

Mansell didn't win it in the same year. He won it in consecutive years. Many didn't realize Mansell first experience in an oval was a hard crash in Phoenix which put him out for the race weekend. How about Emerson Fittipaldi jumping on Mansell on the restart at Indy passing him which led him to victory mainly due to Mansell inexperience on the restart? Fittipaldi was a F1 champion in the past. Oval racing is all about car setup getting it dialed in. It's harder than it looks.

@Talladega93 All the drivers appart from Michael Schumacher wanted the race cancled or slowed down due to the track surface shredding the tyres, remember what happened to Ralf? that was due to this problem and it would be a shit race if they had to change the tyres every 3 laps. It had nothing to do with the drivers being pussies you muppet it was the daft surface you use and with having walls it's unsafe to get a puncture at those speeds. If you yanks knew anything about racing you'd know this.

I been watching auto racing since the late 80s. You tell I don't know shit despite watch over 2 decades and have tapes of races from the 90s and 2000? I know what happened from Mansell rude awakening on his first oval to his first set of wins to Mario Andretti last win to rise and fall of Jacques Villenueve (btw he won the title in second year in F1 and was in contention in his rookie year til the final race), It's you that doesn't know shit when your narrow-minded comments on ovals

don't know about japanese jokes, but Sato's certainly got a reputation for this sort of thing. I don't watch Indycar but during F1 it was common knowledge about his suicidal overtaking attempts. Fast but prone to accidents.
