First I am biracial. Second this is the first time I have heard someone say this... it's genetics and with African Americans yes it is a fact that some meds doesn't work because we lack Vitamin D, B 12, Melatonin and sun is needed. But that's all I heard about meds. I challenge you to provide me proof if Race is an issue. If I decide to go back in for Pain Management I can address your finds. Be Blessed
tri tramadol or also none as ultram its the best. and yes it even works on blacks and i am not being racest its a fact that some drugs do not work on blacks.
I'm sure you've already had plenty of advice and undergone numerous tests. Have you had a sleep study? Many people with fibromyalgia have periodic leg move't of sleep and restless legs syndrome were you partially wake up numerous times during the night.
Hi, I have a sister who is living with Fibromyalgia for over 30 years and she can relate to your struggles. I want to encourage you to keep the faith and put all of your trust in the Lord. I am going to ask all of my prayer partners around the country to lift you up in prayer. There is Hope and as long as you are able to share your journey, you are not allowing this disease to have power over you. I would like to know how things are going so I will watch out for your post. There is Hope!
I was going to be on the for the rest of my life and I tried wearing the patches
and right after I put one one after about 5 min the area turned red and very itchy and then it turned into blisters changed area same problem . I found out I am allergic to any medical adhesives in including band aids . If it stays red for more that 2 min may be a problem There a many different types of Morphine , I was on Kaden and now on Avinza 120mg works 24 hours a day. Ask for it
I have found a very cheap med to help me sleep when the seraquel does not work I take 800mg of seraquel 300 zoloft 4 klopin and 12 other meds. The best drug for knocking you out is amatripline 100mg . I have it in 3 doses 50 100 200 I can tell you it works great the down side is it makes you groggy the next day. I was on the fentany patch but I and allergic to all the adhesives the make it stick . so I am on 60mg morphine every 8 hours. I have a great pain doctor and scy doctor. Wish you lk
@ncrdisabled Did the patches leave a red rash and your skin itchy? I used them a yr ago no problem but now they are horrible. They must have changed the medication in the patch. Morphine works but leaves me with a big headache
I also have the same problems except over weight and high bp. I take a good med for IBS Lomotil sklaxtin for muscle problems and Morphing for the back pain . I suggest firt you see a good pain management doctor and see a good psychiatric doctor. I also take lamatril for the nerve pain as I have europathology in both feet. I take seraquel zoloft and klopin for my syc problems
@ncrdisabled I am seeing both doctors you suggested a Neurologist and Rhemotologist as well. I have IBS incontinent migraines seizures dead bones in both femurs disc degenerative disease europathology fatigue memory loss depression lethargic high bp anemia and lost of appetite with muscle tremors, I took Morphine but it gave me a headache so I am on the Fentanyl patch, Xantax, Seraquel, Excessor and a strong sleeping med I haven't picked up yet because it cost 300 bucks,
I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the medical profession to discover the cause and cure for this horrific disease after 15 years of failed treatments. I understand this illness completely from the inside and back out again. Symptoms are often mistaken as a cause and what can help does not cure. Please, do not give up and keep going. See my You Tube video "Curing Chronic Fibromyalgia - Choosing What Works" and my best wishes to you all!!!
Everything you are saying is exactly what im going through, the pain, the confusion, the forgetfulness. I was told i have fibromyalgia, but then lost our ins. and never followed up. I feel for you, stay strong, God bless
I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia this year, turns out I've had it for about two years but sooner or later it caught up to me and the pain began to increase and regular Tylenol does nothing.
right now I'm on Reflin (a stronger form of Vikadin ) and Amatripoline.
the Reflin works and so does the amatripoline .but it still never relieves all the pain.
this is a bit illegal in a sense but I've found use of Marijuana combined with my pain meds almost completely relieves the pain and depression.
dont let this disease get the better of you. try to get a basic swedish massage. i'm a massage therapist with my share of fibromyalgia clients, the massage with help with the pain for a few days. if there are any massage schools in your area call to see if the students work on the public.good luck.

These can be treated pretty well.
I hope you feel better soon:)
