  • would the gentleman mind if I knew how much he paid for the rebuild?

  • @MrNik1001 If you have a Model T that needs rebuilding, call or email us directly. This engine was done a few years ago so I'm not sure what he paid will help you. I can give you a current estimate if you want.

  • Good job!

I noticed that the ignition was converted to a modern electronic type.

How did you do this? Did the Model T have a gear to drive the distributor or was that a custom install?

  • It's a common change, there are kits available.

  • How much horse power can you get out of the T.

  • Origionally this ran off a comutator and brush or roller system. The brush or roller was directly attached to the end of the cam shaft.

    Thanks

  • I used to hang around with a guy that restored model T's. He would take the timer off them and put a distributor on like you see here. Ive seen a lot of them like this but the original T's didn't have a distributor like you see on this one.

  • Did all the plugs fire at the same time.

  • Very nice. I guess they don't have an HEI for it yet.

  • yes it Sounds like an ford N tractor engine what is the HP of this engine?

  • My best guess based on the components I used is 35-40 Horsepower. A stock T was about 20 when new.

  • Sounds like an 8N tractor engine, but both are quite similar.

  • nicely done

  • thank you!
