Seems like early child abuse/neglect in his past. Such great acting!! It's like he needs an absolution with life and his existance, maybe wasted talents that will never come about because of his tormented past., he seems lost in his own head and he can't get out of the spiral.

this whole part 10 was the most remarkable acting i think i've ever seen....and it was from David.....
holy shit....that literally took my breath away....not joking......that was beyond brilliant...i've never seen anything like it....
