do you know that he went through 5 coaches in 6 years? and with the team of scrubs they built around carter, he still played well. He played so well, but the team always sucked. thats why he was pissed. he felt that he can take his career to that next level if he was traded, he just wanted to be with a contender.

They didn't do that and he was frustrated with being on a losing team.and then he had enough. the team was obviously headed in a different direction and was not gonna contend anytime soon. In that interview with TNT in 2005, the guy that interviewed Vince said that the whole thing was overblown by the media and misinterpreted by the fans.
