I find it hard to believe these kids are my parents' ages. It's good to know that they had some quality television growing up. I'd have loved to see this on air as a kid.
@mustafaFLOUTStheDMCA Yes, there is a new one. It first came on in the late 90s and ran through the 2000s. I think that the NEW one still runs on PBS.
man 70's 80's and early 90's seemed like an awesome time...... Im a child of the 90's and grew up with the 90's show... but this version seems .... nicer,, simpler you know cooler I get the idea that 70's zoom tried connecting kids with the cast you know what I mean?
@nickwalco - I would say the 70s were the last decade before Hardcore Everything America came into being. The hope for real social change felt then has utterly died, sadly. At least that's my personal take.
@mustafaFLOUTStheDMCA It's sad, how, a 'child of the 90's' sees how 'nicer' ZOOM was, etc.
It's the idiots who now make tv shows, films, who are trying to crush anything like hope, creativity, change - and, are more - or, ONLY interested in RATINGS (even PBS), revenue.
That DOESN'T instil ANYTHING positive - especially, in a young person's mind. When we're kids, we like being treated as 'adults.' But, kids NEED to be kids.
I luved this show as a kid,Especially Ms.NANCY she was the best performer on the show,I alaways wanted to be on this show,This show inspired me to write letters and "VILLE ALGRE" plus watching my mom write letters to family members,NANCY inspired me to be a performer,in elementary school i played "DOROTHY" in THE WIZ,in junior highschool i was in play "ANNIE GET YOUR GUN" i was a singer and a dancer and i played myself a "INDIAN" that was the greatest moment ever i been playing that role my life
@smoothpants - Being blasted back to childhood can have its dangerous side effects---so just be on the lookout for signs of acne, raging hormones, and rebelliousness.

The 90's, or rather 00's Zoom wasn't bad at all. Children's programming died in 2004.

The only thing I liked better than seeing Nancy Tates was seeing Nancy Tates barefoot -- which she was most of the time.
