Devo, next time you come visit LA, let me know so, we can hook and ride for a little bit in LA. I'm about 6 miles from Wilshire Blvd and La Brea. Nice video bro.
i ride other bikes, and i used to race, etc... but mostly these days its been simply life on the bike... errands, chores, getting to work, camping, and even travel.
tmrrw should yield a trip to Big Sur on the dummy, camping, hangin out in the creek, etc...
it seems that I've got way too much stuff packed again...
i guess its more like setting up camp and hanging out for awhile...
the box was an AmTrak box, that bikes are supposed to be boxed up in, and checked in as baggage. But... this kind of depends on the train, the station, etc. some trains, have bike accommodations... but... the Big Dummy may or may not work out.
In my experience(s), the Big Dummy is totally doable.
my most useful tool... is being nice, and saying thank you.
I've found the AmTrak staff to be very helpful
but be prepared to be flexible in your travel time(s).
Glad to hear you bro is better. This is an awesome video! I was just in L.A right in the same area, though I was on my motorcycle (down from Marin County for a wedding). I was glad to get out of town! Just got MY Big Dummy, though it's new name is Yggdrasill (means "steed of the terrible one" in norse mythology). Keep riding and postin these vids mang!
City Life here in the City of Angeles is pretty crazy...
MEGA-CITY
gee...
i'd like to be outside somewhere with no man made noises, watching the trout meander in a stream. maybe a bob cat that doesnt get ran over by a car, etc.
Cool video... Nicely done...Keep it up...Ride On...

It appears as though you did not need to box up you bike to put it on the train. How did that work? Did they let you just throw it on?

Wicked! A documentary of an alternative means of travel due to an emergency. Well done on the trip and also on the video.
