Hey man, GET THIS BLU-RAY MACHINE ON THE ELECTRONICS MARKETS IN NORTH AMERICA. Its been alreay 3 long Years,Blu-Ray Player are Obsolete Cheap Now in 2012. If you want to make Money-BIG-TIME, its TIME to Ship these Blu-Ray RECORDERS on the MARKET NOW, to make your PANASONIC Consumers Money. The Consumers of PANASONIC-Viera, I am a Viera so GET THESE MACHINES ONTO THE BESTBUY.COM RETAILER SHELVES for Purchase and other Electronic Stores for the PEOPLE to PURCHASE and Panasonic to make its MONEY!!
Nice Panasonic but TOO EXPENSIVE - Blu ray is now middle aged tech and players have dropped to bucket prices - why not the recorders? If your EVER going to sell masses of them NOW is the time. Come on give us a BASIC machine as we all have HD boxes and HD cams - we DON'T NEED all the tricks. Too high a price point killed S VHS - don't let it happen to Blu Ray recorders!
With the advent of the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) that can be provided to us from our cable providers, I don't think that recordable Blu-ray is a big deal. And as for camcorder editing, using a Mac or PC with editing software will always allow you greater control with editing options as opposed to connecting your camcorder to your Blu-ray recorder for quick transfer and burn.
Ha!...a year later and i decided not to buy one of these because of the hassle with again, "discs".
I now have a media player on which all media(MPEG1/2/4 Elementary (M1V, M2V, M4V) MPEG1/2 PS (M2P, MPG)MPEG2 Transport Stream (TS, TP, TRP, M2T, M2TS, MTS)VOB AVI, ASF, WMV Matroska (MKV)
AVC HD
MOV (H.264), MP4, RMP4
FLV - Flash Video) is stored on one hell-of-a-big 1.5 terrabyte drive
hooked via 1.4c HDMI cable to my FANTASTIC Panasonic NEO-plasma TX-P46G15e screen

I see we have gone down the crazy road of not having multi region Blu-ray recorders, and they are very hard to make them region free.
I wonder who the block head was that split DVDs into 6 regions worldwide, and more importantly..WHY????
This Panasonic is a class machine, and would be great hooked up with their TXP42G20B Plasma 42 inch tv.

Nice gadget. I will wait though until the price drops
to reasonable levels and look forward to what the competition will present. You'll be eating your Dick
later if you buy one now.
