investigators are irritating me. if they were the pilots for sure they will do the same thing. whats more important now is that all passengers where safe. if you are at the cockpit you will think that if ever they will make it back to the airport possibilities might be they will crash on land & create more catastrophic ending. gud thing river is just below and they have done what is imprtant, to make the passengers safe and prevent from making the situation more serious.
These accident investigators talk about things in such a sterile manner. I bet none of them have been commercial pilots nor been in a position of suck pressure - such as getting an airliner down and saving lives.
As for the woman talking as if she knows what she's talking about and what was right and wrong - I bet the truth of the matter is that she can't even reverse properly into a parking bay at the f*kkin supermarket!
the water rescue deserves a story of its own... the flotilla (consisting largely of tourist and commuter boats) arrived with amazing speed, and that swiftness and & the actions of those captains and crews prevented drownings and serious injuries from hypothermia and frostbite. Those rescuers were also heroes.
Imagine your playing out in your yard and you see a plane fly by, and your like oh nice, cool plane. Then you see 4 dead birds land in your yard. MOMMY AHHH
Swiss Air 111 the captain went by the book which some say may have cost him and his passengers their lives. Ethopian Airlines, the captain had been highjacked three times and the passengers in flated thier life jackets before exiting the aircraft, which is something u never do. That's why alot of them drowned.
The captain was a licensed glider pilot, and when the aircraft lost both engines the jet was essentially a glider - perhaps his gliding experience also helped him to make a safe landing...
find it interesting that the first officer used to only have a mustache, now he has a full goatee, guess he is trying to be less recognizable in public since the incident

both pilots were very calm that was very good. calmness prevents pilots from making critical errors

@8bobthebuilder Sully has commented on this, stating that he thinks said experience didn't affect his success.

@8bobthebuilder I hope that I remember that statement correctly, anyway.
