Norwegian Royal Guard (HMKG) in Paris

The hat is, as catbearlol pointed out, inspired from the Italian Bersaglieri. I don't remember her name, but a Norwegian queen saw the Bersaglieri in the late 1800's and fell in love with their headwear. When she returned to norway, she requested the king to arrange for his quards to wear the same hat. And this was arranged, as is still worn by the unit today. I'm being called in this October : D
