i haven't been up by this line in a while but the last few times i've gone through burbank and sun valley, it seems they've been running UP during the day, which a few years back were mainly in the very late evening early morning (9pm-3am)

UP 5408 looks to have been burnt before. And whats this....You caught a burnt GEVO and I seen one on the ZLCAI this morning leading which looks to have exploded and is UP7871.

Yea I was there too and it was a NS SD70M-2.

Now this train has a new rule thanks to complaining USC employees and students. It can't block the crossing at San Pablo for more than 20 Minutes meaning it can't test all the way up pass Soto to Vineburn or even longer Boca.

Really? Did you noticed that they installed a fence under the Soto bridge? It's interesting to see that people live near by, have to go around and catch the bus or cross the RR tracks.

Havent been there since 2 Saturdays ago when I thought the train was going to test ahead of it but knotice it backed to San Pablo slowly till it stops behind there and seen lots of trucks and they told me the new rule and havent been to Soto Since.

BTW it explains why I dont see people crossing there much or ever anymore and it explains why a I caught a 76 woman that crosses there was on the 71 Tuesday.

@The40MAC I'm one of those people who had to wait much longer than 20 minutes for a train backing out of the yard one day. But didn't complain! lol And it look like it went all the way up to Boca. I think there should be an pedestrian bridge going over the tracks. I enjoy watching them from the hospital where I work at. (-:

@ktrain2008 Ah really? This train seems to be getting and starting late enough to let people get there. And yea I agree that there needs to be a priority pedestrian crossing there so people can take the walkway if blocked.

How often do you see a train there and when?

@The40MAC The last time I was there, they had one backing in and out of the yard during the morning rush hour. Me and several others had to get rides from USC Security who pick up employees on the other side when these things happen. We waited there for a half hour before one came though. I hadn't really saw a whole lot until recently. UP Security said since the economy is picking up, they're running a lot more.
