  • The only reason Love Thy Neighbour seemed funny was because it was funny. It's the age-old comedic sitcom rivalry in a racial dressing. The best thing about this show, I think, is that the black and the white characters more often than not got on under the surface, they just didn't like each other very much as people. And the best thing was no-one got hurt - evidenced by the fact that the main black character of the show, Rudolph Walker, ended up starring in EastEnders.
