Very nice! If I might ask, where do find and how do you learn these compositions? You play these new songs so comortably and was just wondering what your mode for learning new songs was?

@marks4runr Thankyou very much - Some songs just stick in the head - I listen to as much music as I can from all genres old and new. If I think they might sound good on the banjo then I try and make them work using the chords I know, sometimes learning the odd new chord if I need to (this keeps the whole process moving on a bit!) Then having learned the lyrics I play them to death and back! - any fancy bits develop gradually through incessant fiddling about. I glad you enjoy them, Andy
Thanks Tom - I'm really enjoying his stuff lately - 'Washington Square Seranade' is a terrific album. Also check out 'El Corazon' and 'Townes' an album of Townes van Zandt covers (also new to me) - He's also a Playwright, Actor and lifelong activist. - I just worked it out in G, D and C...other chords are available!! - All the best, Andy
Thanks Steve - Thinking about it now I think I followed one of those musical trails from your version of TVZs 'Lungs' from about a year ago which lead to Steve Earle! - so thanks to you for that. - Steve Earles son...Justin Townes Earle has a really nice album out at the moment too called 'Midnight at the Movies'....well worth a listen. - Best wishes, Andy

I would love to learn to play this song...where do I start? It's hard to see the chords and strumming.

That was great Andy. I'm not familiar with Steve Earle, I will do a search. I like the break, good work. Did you work it out or was it from a tab ?
All the best Tom

Love this. I only recently discovered the great Steve Earle, as well! Your voice and that banjo, so nice. Thanks for sharing.
