you shouldve made it with the plastic rounding on the toothbrush to make it more stable but cool:D i need to find my old phone and get my pagermoter out and ill be good to go:DD btw im subscribing.
It has such a high center of gravity with narrow bristle base, cutting the bristles shorter would help stability. That, or split the brush head lengthwise and mount the halves wider.
@BullockDesignConcept i did that with mine to accommodate a solar cell. it does make it more stable but it wont change the problem of it constantly going in circles.
@perezfrankie17 get an out of order mobile phone set that having vibration capability....throw it on the wall and you will have a motor like that...;-)
You can get these clock batteries which are actually called "cells" very easily. Just get a AA battery, open it, and you will find 6 of them in there!
I made one of these with my twin and it was awesome then the wires fell off (cause my twin didn't bend them good enough) and then we took the vibraters from an old Xbox controller and made our own little robots
the phone isn't important because ALL mobile phone motors are the same as this one on the planet. the battery is from a toy laser as i remember, but you can find these in wristwatches and shops too
Dude u ask this question on every bristlebot video just make ur own it costs like 3$ for the motor and u probally have a battery layin around if u dont 2$ for battery toothbrush 1$ and there u go easy to make u must just be lazy!
kool...but u know what sucks? the fact that iit's having a seizure makes ir fall dow do u know how to keep it upright?i don't(exept for giving it "wings" for stabalizers
all bristle is fun

if you put 2 brush heads side by side (pontoon style) would that make it more stable or no?
BullockDesignConcept 1 year ago
@BullockDesignConcept well, maybe. i don't have another motor by me right now.
jimday666 1 year ago
If you use a wide and strong (and rubber tipped if you have one) toothbrush top it will be good enough.

if u ad more weight somehow i bet it wouldn't fall over as much. :)
MrSkerzzzz 1 year ago
@MrSkerzzzz No... That way it'll fall over much more times. What it needs is a slower vibrator motor. :P
