  • nice!

  • Bon ;-)

  • ahahahahahhahahahha

  • vaayaa pakete el otroo ...

  • The reff in the back almost puts up the wrong flag...

  • Sound System is worst shit ever!!!

  • Is just a Kakato Geri... Ura mawashi is spining arrownd and kiking... Good kick, but is not a big deal like to upload it in Youtube with soundtrack, slomotion and black and grey...

  • @nosoyalguien how is that a kakato geri?

  • IS shotokan??

  • @MrPasetchnik, what? No, Uramawashi is not performed like mae geri, you are confusing with ushirogeri.

  • @smelkur I think you confused mae geri is a front kick , that was a back round house kick , ushiromawashi geri.. not to be confused with spinning back round house kick...

  • AFAIK it was gyakumawashi. The Uramawashi is performed like mae geri but from inside to outside..

    sorry for bad english

  • It's an uramawashigeri kick. Deal with it.

  • Hehe wow, haven't checked out my video in years. But thanks for all the comments.

The thing is that this is obviously in sport Kumite (no contact) but I can say that earlier in the match he hit me in the nose and actually broke it. I kept on because I didn't want to look like a weak pussy. The judges in that tournament weren't the best. So I kept on and won the match by this kick. I hit him pretty good and he got a big swelling out from his eye. But of course you should not try to hurt som1

  • Try not to use this in point karate or MMA- regardless of what everyone else is doing: 1.) Anyone with 250+ hours of training is going to jam you, sweep you, take you down- or all of the above :), 2.) 75% of the time it will put at risk your opponent's eye or the temporal artery, 3.) Even with a lot of practice, it's very difficult to control.

  • Actually, the guy in this video has this down so well, it would be hard to jam, sweep or take him down. But, I'd still try! :) And, still, don't use it! :)

  • uaaaah that's baaaad i hope he is disqualified... >:(((

  • good job

    really good job

lame opponent, but still great shoot

  • does this kind of kick hurt?

  • Yeah, it does. He didn't kick it that strong, but I can make the wall break down with it. I wouldn't recommend trying that strength out on someone though :)

  • @lukass1001 Ehhh, quite honestly, no it's not a very powerful kick. It's extremely deceptive and the point of contact is the heel, so it can really hurt if you land well with it (temple, nose, back of the head), but the kick itself has very little power compared to most other kicks. Done as a spinning kick it can generate KO power, but then you're doing a spinning kick.

I use this kick, even in hard sparring, but it's not something I would use "for real".

  • @maofas depends on how you do it.. the more circular movement you make the weaker it gets. yeah its not as powerful as the other kicks but its speed advantage will be more useful in most occasions

  • @somethingandahalf Depends on what you mean by most occasions. It's less than stellar if you're trying to inflict damage and risky in any ruleset that allows takedowns/groundwork as it's easier to catch than a round kick and blocking it instead opens up an easy avenue to having your back taken.

  • @maofas you know, there are many things that must be taken into consideration. for example there will be times when uramawashi will be more useful than mawashi.. i was talking about the times you manage to hit but if we put that aside you are right. its too risky but with the right timing its decent

  • Nice kick but reverse is USHIRO as far as i'm aware what does ura mean

  • It is a URA mawashi geri not an ushiro geri-Ura means the other way round; you hit with the heel or the sole..

  • I apologise, I keep finding out little things that show my former instructor up to be a lier who didn't earn all he had achieved - like using incorrect terminology because he didn't know as much as he made out. I gave up teaching about three years ago because I found out other things that made me ashamed to know him. Oh well, lifes a bitch then you marry one! Thankyou for putting me right on that one :-)

  • uramawashigheri jodan...no reaction ...ipon!

  • good

  • i would have tried to put more kime into the kick.

  • That was really sexy;):D

  • excelente

  • that wasnt u

  • I think this whole way of competing for points is weak.

I used to do it back in the days, but now I'm in Full contact. Kyokushin.

    But. Nice kick though.

  • I think that Full contact is more interesting, but you have to watch and be more focused not to hurt the enemy and to win a match...

  • yeah full contact but no face contact?

  • oh there is face contact, Knees and Kicks hurt just as Much.

And there are kyokushin competitions with face contact aswell.

  • Comment removed

  • @BlackwallstreetBIH yes I do agree that point competing is weak and all that, but I think people should start out with point competing and then move up to more and more contact, not all people have the mindset or the guts to do full contact, but that way they can kinda ease into it, or if they reach their limit, they can stay at lighter contact and have fun with that. And the ones who wanna do full contact right away will see if they really want to or if they wanna do some lighter contact first.

  • @mzero113 You mean "Oss"... "Osu" means Devil in Japanese =)

  • @nosoyalguien "Oni" is Demon, and "Aku" is Evil, but to date I haven't seen "Osu" referring to anything related to either term. As for what I mean, I really did mean "Osu" since I prefer the Romaji spelling of Japanese words over just spelling things as they sound.

  • @mzero113 Hmmm intresting =D... Well search for it... I tell this on my own bad experience... Our japanase sensei Hitoshi Kasuya tell that to us, thats why I say it.. But I do hear of "Oni" as Demon... Weird...

    Thans for the tip =D

  • @nosoyalguien it is pronounced "oss" it's spelled "osu". Well, either way, keep training. OSU!!

  • @BlackwallstreetBIH and I belive that just puching the chest is very strong

  • Lol, you sure are proud of your sambon!

  • Uff..eso pasa cuando se tira un golpe sin verdadera intención,de vuelta recibe tal ura mawashi..

  • Nice, the opponent thought it's gonna be a maegeri but it turned out to be a jodan ura mawashi geri.

  • well, if you think my video sucks, you should watch yours an realise how badly your form sucks, how long you been training? a week?

  • i don`t think this video is good...because it so short and don`t show so many kind of kick...it is only the uramawashi geri...where is the mawashi, maigeri, yokogeri,etc...

  • That argument is nonsense.

    People complaints only for complaint.

The title is "Uramawashigeri". That means that is of course a video showing an uramawashigeri.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA . Very weak .

  • Very nice!
