@Bliksem486 Even in Total Annhiliation (Supcom predessor) the ACU could shot both land and air, but was very inneffective vs Air since aircraft move so fast, so even if it could shoot air units, it would never hit it's target unless it was a construction craft, but you dont have construction craft in Supcom so no need for it.

@Specopleader Tell him to play C&C 4, then ask him if he still like that series, if he does he's an idiot. Both supcom and SC2 are great games but typically Supcom and SC are equal. Supcom is good for those who like huge battles and a wide variety of units. SC is for those who prefer older style games, that copies from Warhammer 40k (Five models in game are excatly the same as the figures in W40K)

The closest star we know of is the sun, which is billions of miles away. I don't think light speed would take very long. I mean, if you saw "Star Wars" when the traveled at light speed they could travel from planet to planet in seconds, so it really doesn't seem like that long of a trip.

Actually, he doesn't go in as a human and come out as something different, he's the pilot of the ACU that comes out. He's just inside of that "huge robot". And yes, that part is epic! :D I always loved the graphics and the effects that were in the cutscenes for supcom, they surpass most every game I've come across so far. There are a couple of exceptions, but they are few and far between.

(just 1 :P) using the high resolution"cheat" the game looks pretty good even on a 19" screen ^^(u only need to activate it once type HIRES in main menu and then simply up the resolution in the options menuistead of the max of 800x1024 the maximum resolution is now the max your vid card suports)

The thing is that a lot of the time supreme commander is all about the slow strategy...a bit like defcon but more stompy.

Personally I prefer chaotic strategy games where it doesn't matter whether you are a brilliant strategist (which I most certainly am not) and just love mindless carnage (we are all looking at you Dawn Of War). Still... cool video.

I disagree. I think the whole point of an RTS is to demonstrate your strategic ability. I LIKE a long, slow, methodical game where, through most of the game you're "daring" your opponent to make a move that will start the battle sequence that will eventually end the match. If you really want a "chaotic" strategy game, why not play something more like an FPS? Not that I don't play FPSs, but the goal of an RTS is basically, to prove that you can outwit and out plan your opponent. My opinion.

I agree with you, Command and Conquer got great soundtrack.

But that music was a part of the C&C image.

As many know, Supreme Commander are like the child of Total Annihilation.

The one who made the BGM to TA was Jeremy Soule.

And if iam not mistaken...Jeremy Soule also made the SupCom soundtrack.

The soundtrack in SupCom really give me the "commander feel" instead of the "action feel" in C&C.
