Hm. Not so impressed. This is the greatest song of the 1990s, if not the 1900s altogether... But I've heard like 100 better versions. It's like: shall we see how fast we can get through this shit? Sound like 50% faster than original. The song does NOT benefit from that.

I think they do really well live. In fact if you've seen live versions of 1979, they're actually better than the album version.

It depends on the era they play the songs during. This song was only played live well pre-adore. After that they started dropping their tunings and his voice changed to the point where it was too different and too annoying.

Sure, I like the old hits but some songs (this one included) shouldn't be played now as they sound so shitty with his current voice and choice of effects.

I miss when Billy had this sinister tone to his voice. I found American Gothic and Zeitgeist boring in that he sang every song the same exact way. He proves here that he can still pull out that sinister tone.
