I definitely support free speech. But I don't why Levant kept making reference to invalid legal systems. I definitely support free speech. But I don't why Levant kept making reference to invalid legal systems. Don't get me wrong, it was completely unconstitutional for the human rights commission to be doing this, but the ony things that makes it unconstitutional, is the Constitution of Canada (Charter of Rights and Freedoms). British common law has nothing do with it, so there wasn't even the need to reference it.

Canadians have their collective head in the sand if they think this sort of thing is going to go away on its own. It won't. It won't without public outrage etc. Ezra is certainly not the only higher profile person to have this happen to.
The fact this sort of thing is allowed to happen here, is of no surprise to me in that Canadians are much too passive collectively (they love big government after all)to take a stand against the government.

But more than that, your rights are not created by Government. You have those Rights before government. Those rights are intrinsic to you. If anything, Government is supposed to protect your Rights.

Freedom of speech is a right and therefor cannot be abused. By saying that freedom of speech can be "abused" you are implying that it is a privelege and not an INALIENABLE RIGHT. Can freedom of thought be "abused"? Obviously Not. Freedom of speech is no different.

Slander and yelling in a crowd are not abuses of freedom of speech, they are abuse of other people. The method used to violate another person's rights is not what's being abused, unless that method is a privelege. When you say that freedom of speech can be abused, you are saying that it's a privelege and not a right. Yelling in a crowd is not even speech. Speech is the to expression of thoughts. It's no different from freedom of thought, except that speech is verbalized.

I too just learned of the Canadian HRC's case against Mr. Levant tonight on Fox New's Red Eye. In my honest opinion, the only true purpose of these organizations seems to be to further plunge countries into socialism, and if course to line their own pockets. I just saw this video for the first time tonight on Fox News' "Red Eye." Ezra was interviewed by Greg Gutfeld and gave a passionate, moving speech and the evils of the Canadian HRC. Human rights commissions are indeed totalitarian regimes designed to quash all who disagree with their far left political views. Its disgusting.
