  • I think this discussion needs to be classed up a bit. We can all agree the FBI did the wrong thing turning off the power grid? Hans was a pro and they should know he was counting on it. God Bless, John McCain.

  • i think we all owe it too elias12186 for letting the internet hear all seven beautiful parts of this masterpiece.

  • Everything will pass, and the world will perish but the Ninth Symphony will remain

  • so sad that one of the greatest muscians receive dislikes.......shame on u guys

  • Hans Gruber gets the money!

  • The mystery of human been!!!!!

A genius who couldn’t hear compose this music while people who can hear dislike it!!!!!!

  • @sarmaroof

I see no mystery in that. Maybe it's related ? No, just joking

  • see the complete version...

    youtube.com/watch?v=EmV35VPRT9s

  • Bach the god ,every composer said it.

  • What movement is this?

  • @jimbolimbo369 end of 3rd to beginning of 4th

  • The main theme here, once finally introduced, always makes my right arm shoot up in the "German greeting"!

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • i love how when the piano came about , Beethoven used his aggression , with loud piano solos and large orchestral pieces.

  • EPIC!

  • greatest creation by a human being ever on earth

  • why does this not have a 720 or hp???

  • My 2nd favorite movement :)

  • Most ppl think that Mozart is the genius of classical music but Beethoven took it to the next level. It was evolutional... Bach, Handel, Mozart then Beethoven. Not to mention he was deaf by the 4th. Genius beyond compare!

  • @joctheviper1 Actually beethoven was a big fan of mozart inspiring him to do orchestrals.

  • @joctheviper1 Beethoven is among that group who thought so and he's not alone. By far Mozart is the most praised classical musician by his peers and successors.

  • @joctheviper1 Don't forget Hyden, He taught BOTH Mozart and Beethoven, Talk about being a boss

  • @SILOETTE100page Since you're such an expert on the subject, I find it ironic that you spelled Haydn's name wrong. Congratulations, sir.

  • @ThatOneGuyWhoIsMe come on bud ! don't be so defensive, when did i ever mention in my post that I was an expert on the subject? I simply read and knew of a fact and thought i would share it with other because that's what the internet is for. Thank you for correcting the spelling but why would you bring negativity to the table by assuming i'm a know it all. The more you know the more you realize how little you know. & i'm all open for learning. good day to you sir

  • @SILOETTE100page you mean Haydn? (that's the correct way of spelling)

  • @SILOETTE100page Haydn was never Mozart's instructor.

  • Brings tears to my eyes :')

  • can't convert 5/7. =(

  • @ferdz0809 what a terrible part to miss...Ode to Joy

  • That intro to the final movement (approx. minutes 7:00-8:40) was revised by Beethoven over 400 TIMES. This is what I love about art. The key to genius is insanity. You have to be insane to work that hard on something that started out needing 400 revisions. And just listen to how spontaneously joyful it sounds... every millisecond of that spontaneity was painstakingly planned. AMAZING.

  • It's hard to believe that this Symphony was composed by a human being.

  • Although one of Beethoven's least complex Orchestral works, It is one of the most pretty.

  • no dislikes. Nice, finally everyone who watches (better: hear this) appreciate it

  • @plagueofangels666 um not exactly.......

  • @EgoSumIndigentia okay, 1 dipshit, still isn't a lot compared to most videos, dont you agree?

  • thanx for uploading ,, but i cant find # 6

  • this symphony is the best Beethoven was a musical genius if only more people understood his genius Beethoven will and forever will be the best of the best listening to this from part 1 to part 7 and absolutely love the emotion in all of Beethoven's works of musical genius :)

  • God bless Beethoven; he was truly divinely inspired by God and the angels to produce such a magnus opus for the world to enjoy; this is a superbly rendered version. Thanks for posting and God bless always.....

  • 3:47 was just an amazing transition!!!!!!!!!! i actually jumped, because i was reading something at the same time and didn't expect it :)

his ode to joy was probably my favourite movement, and i always get excited right around here cause i know its coming.

  • who conducted this? it's perfection!

  • Unbelievable

    Probably even better than Karajan

All phrasing spot on, total understanding of this masterpiece

  • beethovan was a genous... but bachs music waslike it was written by god himself... he was a god among boys... hell infants

  • 9:34 Just great!!

  • my high school music teacher told me that this symphony was Beethoven's "search for god"

or at least a sound commentary on the process. (i guess)

Beethoven's logic is like nothing I've heard in music. (even Bach)

  • 5:10...is it just me or is that a reminiscent of the 2nd movement?

  • Comment removed

  • @family12726

Stronger still, it's a direct quote. Beethoven here directly quotes moments from all the first three movements, which the cello - which represents Beethoven's heroic individuality - characteristically negates. Only the fourth theme, the ode to joy, which represents utopia, finds its approval.

  • @vanderbilt887

Reading your comment helped me appreciate the music more deeply. Thank you!

  • open two pages and play this over part 2 of 7. at any given time it sounds wonderfully harmoneous, or maybe its just me, im curious. does anyone else feel this way?

  • beethoven was a genius dude!

  • And yeah it's like they were meant to be heard this way

  • @bloodshotcomedy

that is awesome. i love the ninth, and i've heard it many times, but never like that.

  • @bloodshotcomedy did as u suggested and yes, its almost like they can be piled on each other n it wont sound all weird...Beethoven was a MasterMind

  • @bloodshotcomedy lol yeah, awesome :P

  • @bloodshotcomedy i tried this and yes.... yes i do.. thats spectacular

  • great!!

  • Thank you very much..

I heard a lot of versions of this Symphony, but the version with Günther Wand..
