But your imaginary god is one of them.

You should also take a look into the Swiss legal code, since suicide in Switzerland is not legal. Assisted suicide under strict specified circumstances, usually under medical circumstances can be legal.
@trifulquita15 And why supposedly are Europeans lacking in morality? We have fewer murder per 100.000 citizens than the US, our incarceration rates are lower, the standard of living in Western-Europe is better than in most parts of the US, better income equality. The US has 737 persons imprisoned per 100,000, Denmark only has 59. We don't need an all seeing eye in the Sky to keep us on the straight path.
@havoc873 interesting, most of convicts in jail are not very religious people, so??? yes, there is some pastors and priests in jail, but they are minority. Criminals are secular, ppl not interested in religion, deal with it

NO,CHRISTIANS MOTHERFUCKERS ! WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION !! Are you stupid? The forefathers were DEISTS and some were Pantheists or Agnostics,NOT CHRISTIANS !The 1796 Treaty with Tripoli states that the United States was "not in any sense founded on the Christian religion" . This treaty was written under the presidency of George Washington and signed under the presidency of John Adams. It mentions "Nature's God" and "Divine Providence" and that's the language of DEISM NOT CHRISTIANITY.
Are all religious people that get on TV stupid or is it just religious people in general.. Religious people are intolerant, stupid, narrow minded, dim-witted, murderous, morons that follow sheep mentality. Well.. 99.9% of them.
He is still in office, the case was thrown out, I am from NC, live near Asheville, this was surprising since Asheville is called the Venice Beach of the South, full of free thinkers and atheists.
The case is cut and dried. The religious fundamentalists don't have a legal leg to stand on. People who challenge the constitution have to face the supreme court. The supreme court will hand their asses to them on a silver platter, if they pursue it.
@skaha77 Didn't lead in history? Let's see..there's Confucius, Chinese philosopher; Democritus, Greek philosopher - developed atomic theory; Benjamin Franklin; Thomas Paine; Frederick the Great, Prussian king; James Madison; Simon Bolivar, South American liberator; Abraham Lincoln; Elizabeth Cady Stanton, American suffragist; Susan B. Anthony, American suffragist;Andrew Carnegie, American philanthropist; Thomas Edison; William Howard Taft; Herbert George "H.G." Wells; I had to leave many out!
@skaha77 Lately? Carl Sagan; Neil DeGrasse-Tyson; Stephen Hawking; John Lennon; Bill Maher; Jack Nicholson; Ron Reagan Jr; Steve Wozniak; Noam Chomsky; Lance Armstrong; Pat Tillman; Julia Sweeney; James Cameron; Jodie Foster; Andy Rooney; Penn Jillette; Bill Gates; Ted Turner; Warren Buffett; Gene Rodenberry; Morgan Friedman; Sandra Bullock; Lewis Black; Natalie Portman; the list goes on and on....
@saintpine Aetheists who were bad leaders: Khadafi, StalinLenin, Hitler (yeah he was catholic, big deal) Idi Amin, the Aiatollah Khomeni. Mao Tse Tung. and a gazillion more.
@skaha77 "Aetheists who were bad leaders: Khadafi, StalinLenin, Hitler (yeah he was catholic, big deal) Idi Amin, the Aiatollah Khomeni. Mao Tse Tung. and a gazillion more."
I give up, you obviously have got a messed up brain, and you haven't a clue what an atheist is.
@skaha77 History proves that? How so? Stalin and Mao? They didn't kill for atheism. However, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the rape, enslavement and genocide of Native American tribes, witch trials, the 30 Years' War, the genocide of Gaelic Irish, the murder of 20k Huguenots by command of Pope Pius V, and Charlemagne beheading 4500 Saxons, along with other historical examples, prove quite the contrary.
@CerberusGX You're exactly right! ...and you left out Hitler himself (which oddly skaha777 admits he was Catholic and then dismisses that fact); one could argue that the antisemitism which fueled Hitler and his followers is DIRECTLY related to Christianity!
@CerberusGX First of all, I hate the Cath Church in rome probably more than you do. they are ANYTHING BUT Christian. REAL CHRISTIANS obey the commandemtn, 'thou shalt not kill' Surely you can understand that.
@skaha77 "Aetheists aren't fit to lead. History proves that. What have they done for us lately?"
Um... Nobel peace prize winners have an unusually large number of atheists compared to their percentage of the population. Just the same with scientists, mathematicians, doctors, philosophers and many other great thinkers and movers of society.
It's terribly small-minded to say all members of such and such group aren't fit to lead. Leadership is a quality, not an affiliation.
@oneNonBeliever yeah well the Nobel peace Prize is a piece of nothing. They awarded it to ARAFAT. If you refuse to acknowledge or believe in God; that is your choice. You will have a miserable future.. after you die.. and this life is just a quick blink, in the ocean of eternity
@oneNonBeliever Aetheists who have been in power: Stalin, Lenin, Mao Tse Tung, Hitler, mahmood and whosit in North Korea. godless leadership has led this nation to the bringk of collapse. Sin and iniquitey abound in every area, on every street and in every elementary school. Homos have more rights than the straights, and sin has created a debload of voer $130,000 a household. Drug gangs, drug cartels, alcoholism, and pornography have all but destroyed the quality of life in America.
@skaha77 Lol at mahmood and whosit. You sure do present a good argument!
"Homos have more rights than straights". Marriage? Adoption? Multiple other rights FROM marriage? Nope. More good arguments.
"Godless leadership has lead this nation to the bringk of collapse." The Founding Fathers wanted to form a secular nation, and it started out pretty well. I would bet most, if not all of the presidents in the past 50-100 years were Christian, and that was when America began to "collapse". Hmm...
@skaha77 Those people were totalitarians, some of whom were worshiped as God. They did what they did for their own personal power conquest. You also fail to look at atheistic governments today, which are some of the most peaceful places on earth. There's a debate if Hitler were Christian or not, but the simple fact is, he could not have been successful without using Jew hating Christians to carry out his work. If you think gays have more rights than straight people, you are simply crazy.
>> I would like to agree with you my friend, and mean no offense in any statement that I have made, but slowly Christian rights are being taken away to accomadate others.
Yeah, I'll bet that's how all the people of history felt when Christianity was sweeping over Europe. Karma's a bitch, huh?
ridiculous. what about the separation of church and state? also on the topic im seeing here about marriage - there is this assumption that marriage belongs to christian based religions. WRONG. religion and marriage are not exclusive therefore religion should not come into question regarding marriage.
@michaelmitchell2206 Exactly Michael. It should not come into question unless you're the ones getting married, and then you can get married with a ceremony of smashing watermelons to sacrifice to the fruit god, if that's what you want...LOL. I always say if you're against gay marriage, don't get married to someone of your own gender.
@Ishmen Wow....what equivocation! Marriage is a civil matter; it's only religious if you are religious and want it to be a religious matter. YOU are forcing your religious views (that gay marriage is not ok) on US.
@Ishmen Since when is marriage (gay or otherwise) a 'religious matter'? It is a civil and legal matter. Religion is secondarily involved, and then only ceremoniously and in the minds of those involved. Besides, were you listening? The US Constitution prohibits these statements in state constitutions. Are you advocating for a breach of the US constitution?
@ianman6 Marriage is both a religious and Political choice, and I do agree that gay people have a civil right to make whatever choice they want, however to question that the U.S constitution is unquestionable stands more in favor for Christians than what you are trying to infer! The U.S constitution says that it is okay for anyone speak about their religious beliefs openly! Be gay and open about it, but let me be Christian and open about it!
@Ishmen Gay marriage is not the issue here. These states' constitutions have provisions which prohibit open atheists from holding public office. This is in violation of the US constitution. And Christians have the power in the US, no one is taking your rights away. The US constitution protects your rights as much as those of atheists, no more no less.
@ianman6 I would like to agree with you my friend, and mean no offense in any statement that I have made, but slowly Christian rights are being taken away to accomadate others. My daughter will not be able to pray at school because it can be offensive to someone else, It is now on the verge if not passed already, becoming a hate crime to say anything negative about gay marriage in churches! It's cool though, hopefully I am mistaken and you are right!!! Bless U Bro! Sorry if offended u!
@Ishmen Nonsense. Your daughter can pray at a public school. This idea that people can't pray at school or work and "rights are being taken away" is pure propaganda. What was decided in Murray v. Curlett and Schemp v. Abington School District in 1963 was that teachers or administrators could not LEAD students in a prayer. What you don't see is how this benefits YOU. Suppose your daughter went to a school with a Muslim Principal; would you want her being led in a Muslim prayer?
THIS is what makes me ashamed to be a citizen of this damned country. this is so blatantly unconstitutional, it's downright shameful. btw, state constitutions cannot undermine the US constitution.
when you think of people jumping around and making noise to scare the dragon away from eating the sun (I.E when theres an eclipse) do you think they're slightly stupid?
@dave474c No, because atheists always go around naked and publicly fornicating anyway, so nobody would notice the difference; besides that, the porn studio cantina does not serve baby, so any atheist porn star would just go too hungry... :-P
@ChuckyJesus666 That makes sense. The cantina could serve dead atheist meat if they wanted to be inclusive. But I guess until then, it'll have to remain an Amish thing... (and rich Mormons)
I bet thoe provisions went back to the foundign of the country and those states. see freedom of religion was not the same as some think of it today. there was no freedom from religion and many states were founded and built directly
(not implictily) on the chirstian faith and really certain denominations. Maryland- CAtholic etc.
@kevin122380 You're trying to reason with deeply religious people and present evidence as the basis for your argument. Good luck with that! Don't you know that very religious people are allergic to proof and evidence. The less proof there's for something the more they believe it, and more evidence that contradict their beliefs, the more they reject it.
@varoshah Notice that there are almost no (open) atheists in office in this nation. That's because we're so hated that the majority won't vote for us. There's part of the abuse my friend. Nobody mocks us because deep down they know our position (really a lack of one) is reasonable. Believe in magic men in the sky and you open yourself up to mocking...deservedly so, IMO.
@varoshah Or how you shove your religions and their fairy-tales down my throat everyday? Then when an atheist like me states my beliefs publically...you become a fascist-nazi.
@varoshah There are only 1 or 2 openly atheists in congress. So less than 1 % of congressmen and women are atheists. Just because the atheists are more effecient at forming rational arguments instead of calling down the lightning bolts of velociraptor jesus doesn't mean they don't take political abuse.
It's embarrassing to be an American because of the rampant religious superstition we have here. If this comment angers you, then you probably believe that you have invisible superhuman friends with magical powers, with whom you can communicate telepathically.
I wish just one day the USA would find this thing called "common sense". So many things in the USA are strange and seemingly without reason. How religion is viewed there is so out of whack with the rest of the developed world. In that sense they haven't come anywhere since their founding. Infact, they have probably gone backwards as the founders realised things that quite a few modern religious people don't.
@GodsArePeopleToo If we ever became officially Christian like some of them want....that would be the next step...wars between the denominations to see who is top dog.....they just don't get it, do they?
@ChuckyJesus666 - my god is bigger than your god? lol hell they don't even agree on how many gods, and what's really weird is the claim that the gods they worship are the same as the gods of abraham, isaac and jacob
if they can't agree on what gods they worship, i dunno how they can even go to a church much less agree on who should run what

I can prove to all Christians that there is no God of any kind. Ask my friend Montufachey and he will tell you absolutely that No Gods exist. You have to speak toward the right side of my Body as Montufachey is invisible and no one but me can see or hear him but he is real and I promise I won't lie about what he says. If you really have faith in him he will answer your question. You can ask him now from where ever you are at cause he can hear everyone at once.......
I'm a Christian, and honestly I don't give a fuck what everyone else believes. I'm not going to try to press my religion on you. Religion should be a private matter, but these bible thumpers are really making liberal, clear-thinking Christians look bad. My boyfriend is an atheist, but I understand why he is. People need prove, some people just need faith. Every night I pray for him--not to see the Light, but just for his safety wellbeing. Why can't people think like me
@ChuckyJesus666 I'm going to raise my nieces, nephews and kids with this philosophy so it's a start. I just want people to just focus on people...not religion.
@Lazurline Honestly, if Christians (and other religious folk, like Muslims) were more like you, you'd rarely even hear from the atheist community. People talk about "the angry atheist" and how "the atheist won't sit down and shut up." We're as vocal as we are IN REACTION to what the religious right has been doing the past couple of decades. Thanks again for being a sane, moderate Christian!
@Lazurline If you are in Christ, you will not use vulgar language. You are a pretender, not born again. Repent and be saved. Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and have it abundantly"
@skaha77 I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, but I am NOT going to force people to believe in what I believe. I believe there's a fucking jabberwockey in my closet. I am human, and Christ loves me just fine so FUCK YOU. IN THE LORD'S NAME, AMEN YOU STUPID ASSHOLE. IT'S PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT MAKE OTHER PEOPLE FEEL BAD AND MAKE CHRISTIANS LOOK LIKE HITLERS!
Well, technically the atheist politician doesn't deny Yahweh's existence. He simply has a lack of belief in Yahweh (if he is a weak atheist). So he should run office.
I wish they had that law all around the United States... We probably wouldn't be in so much trouble in the failing country, if we had officials who feared God.

trifulquita15 2 months ago

It mentions "Nature's God" and "Divine Providence" and that's the language of DEISM NOT CHRISTIANITY.

skaha77 6 months ago
@skaha77 Didn't lead in history? Let's see..there's Confucius, Chinese philosopher; Democritus, Greek philosopher - developed atomic theory; Benjamin Franklin; Thomas Paine; Frederick the Great, Prussian king; James Madison; Simon Bolivar, South American liberator; Abraham Lincoln; Elizabeth Cady Stanton, American suffragist; Susan B. Anthony, American suffragist;Andrew Carnegie, American philanthropist; Thomas Edison; William Howard Taft; Herbert George "H.G." Wells; I had to leave many out!
ChuckyJesus666 6 months ago 2
@skaha77 Lately? Carl Sagan; Neil DeGrasse-Tyson; Stephen Hawking; John Lennon; Bill Maher; Jack Nicholson; Ron Reagan Jr; Steve Wozniak; Noam Chomsky; Lance Armstrong; Pat Tillman; Julia Sweeney; James Cameron; Jodie Foster; Andy Rooney; Penn Jillette; Bill Gates; Ted Turner; Warren Buffett; Gene Rodenberry; Morgan Friedman; Sandra Bullock; Lewis Black; Natalie Portman; the list goes on and on....
ChuckyJesus666 6 months ago
@skaha77 "Aetheists aren't fit to lead. History proves that. What have they done for us lately?"
History hasn't proven anything other than the propaganda your church has indoctrinated you with.
No one can do anything under the atheist flag, atheism doesn't offer anything, it's not a life philosophy and is not in competition with religion.
The life philosophies of all atheists in the US are for the most part identical to those of Christians, but none can be classified as atheism.

I give up, you obviously have got a messed up brain, and you haven't a clue what an atheist is.
saintpine 6 months ago
@skaha77 History proves that? How so? Stalin and Mao? They didn't kill for atheism. However, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the rape, enslavement and genocide of Native American tribes, witch trials, the 30 Years' War, the genocide of Gaelic Irish, the murder of 20k Huguenots by command of Pope Pius V, and Charlemagne beheading 4500 Saxons, along with other historical examples, prove quite the contrary.
CerberusGX 6 months ago
@CerberusGX You're exactly right! ...and you left out Hitler himself (which oddly skaha777 admits he was Catholic and then dismisses that fact); one could argue that the antisemitism which fueled Hitler and his followers is DIRECTLY related to Christianity!
ChuckyJesus666 6 months ago
@CerberusGX First of all, I hate the Cath Church in rome probably more than you do. they are ANYTHING BUT Christian. REAL CHRISTIANS obey the commandemtn, 'thou shalt not kill' Surely you can understand that.
skaha77 6 months ago
@skaha77 "Aetheists aren't fit to lead. History proves that. What have they done for us lately?"
Um... Nobel peace prize winners have an unusually large number of atheists compared to their percentage of the population. Just the same with scientists, mathematicians, doctors, philosophers and many other great thinkers and movers of society.
It's terribly small-minded to say all members of such and such group aren't fit to lead. Leadership is a quality, not an affiliation.
oneNonBeliever 4 months ago 3
@oneNonBeliever yeah well the Nobel peace Prize is a piece of nothing. They awarded it to ARAFAT. If you refuse to acknowledge or believe in God; that is your choice. You will have a miserable future.. after you die.. and this life is just a quick blink, in the ocean of eternity
skaha77 4 months ago
@oneNonBeliever Aetheists who have been in power: Stalin, Lenin, Mao Tse Tung, Hitler, mahmood and whosit in North Korea. godless leadership has led this nation to the bringk of collapse. Sin and iniquitey abound in every area, on every street and in every elementary school. Homos have more rights than the straights, and sin has created a debload of voer $130,000 a household. Drug gangs, drug cartels, alcoholism, and pornography have all but destroyed the quality of life in America.
skaha77 4 months ago
@skaha77 Lol at mahmood and whosit. You sure do present a good argument!
"Homos have more rights than straights". Marriage? Adoption? Multiple other rights FROM marriage? Nope. More good arguments.
"Godless leadership has lead this nation to the bringk of collapse." The Founding Fathers wanted to form a secular nation, and it started out pretty well. I would bet most, if not all of the presidents in the past 50-100 years were Christian, and that was when America began to "collapse". Hmm...
bijoukaiba 4 months ago
@skaha77 Those people were totalitarians, some of whom were worshiped as God. They did what they did for their own personal power conquest. You also fail to look at atheistic governments today, which are some of the most peaceful places on earth. There's a debate if Hitler were Christian or not, but the simple fact is, he could not have been successful without using Jew hating Christians to carry out his work. If you think gays have more rights than straight people, you are simply crazy.

ridiculous. what about the separation of church and state? also on the topic im seeing here about marriage - there is this assumption that marriage belongs to christian based religions. WRONG. religion and marriage are not exclusive therefore religion should not come into question regarding marriage.
michaelmitchell2206 6 months ago
@michaelmitchell2206 Exactly Michael. It should not come into question unless you're the ones getting married, and then you can get married with a ceremony of smashing watermelons to sacrifice to the fruit god, if that's what you want...LOL. I always say if you're against gay marriage, don't get married to someone of your own gender.
ChuckyJesus666 6 months ago
So,let me get this right.......
It is Okay for the government to be involved in religious matters like (gay marriage)
But it is not okay for religion to have a say in politics........ hhhhhmmmmm??????
That's not fair, if there is going to be separation then thats the way it should be across the board.
Ishmen 7 months ago
@Ishmen Wow....what equivocation! Marriage is a civil matter; it's only religious if you are religious and want it to be a religious matter. YOU are forcing your religious views (that gay marriage is not ok) on US.
ChuckyJesus666 7 months ago 2
@Ishmen Since when is marriage (gay or otherwise) a 'religious matter'? It is a civil and legal matter. Religion is secondarily involved, and then only ceremoniously and in the minds of those involved. Besides, were you listening? The US Constitution prohibits these statements in state constitutions. Are you advocating for a breach of the US constitution?
ianman6 7 months ago
@ianman6 Marriage is both a religious and Political choice, and I do agree that gay people have a civil right to make whatever choice they want, however to question that the U.S constitution is unquestionable stands more in favor for Christians than what you are trying to infer! The U.S constitution says that it is okay for anyone speak about their religious beliefs openly! Be gay and open about it, but let me be Christian and open about it!
Ishmen 7 months ago
@Ishmen Gay marriage is not the issue here. These states' constitutions have provisions which prohibit open atheists from holding public office. This is in violation of the US constitution. And Christians have the power in the US, no one is taking your rights away. The US constitution protects your rights as much as those of atheists, no more no less.
ianman6 7 months ago
@ianman6 I would like to agree with you my friend, and mean no offense in any statement that I have made, but slowly Christian rights are being taken away to accomadate others. My daughter will not be able to pray at school because it can be offensive to someone else, It is now on the verge if not passed already, becoming a hate crime to say anything negative about gay marriage in churches! It's cool though, hopefully I am mistaken and you are right!!! Bless U Bro! Sorry if offended u!
Ishmen 7 months ago
@Ishmen Nonsense. Your daughter can pray at a public school. This idea that people can't pray at school or work and "rights are being taken away" is pure propaganda. What was decided in Murray v. Curlett and Schemp v. Abington School District in 1963 was that teachers or administrators could not LEAD students in a prayer. What you don't see is how this benefits YOU. Suppose your daughter went to a school with a Muslim Principal; would you want her being led in a Muslim prayer?
ChuckyJesus666 7 months ago
@Ishmen Gay marriage is not a religious issue... people just use religion to justify hatred against gays.
