Just now I lost a campaign in the last turn because this happened to me, except the opposite. I had to hold at least one of three territories, lost the first two in complete one sided routes (talking full stacks versus like two naginata and a bow). Then in the last territory I fought a battle outnumbered 3 to 1. I broke their entire army, literally everything. But one unit of archers, while fleeing my city, accidentally captured the city circle. D: wtfffff Killed 2200, lost 300. Fuck that.

This game is very unrealistic. 1 on 1 battles 24/7 and massive armies can flee over 200 men for no reason. That is a lack of bushido. If the japs in this video game new their way of life it be easier. And then you get revolts so easy then you wonder how the civilians can recruit so much soldiers and get them in armor that fast.

It's not that unrealistic. If one man breaks, another follows, figuring the first guy knew something he didn't. Soldiers who fight in formation develop a herd mentality. They might not have seen the last man bite it because when you're running for your life you don't usually look back. Those last two guys probably chased after them saying, "Hey guys, guys, it's all good now!" but by the time they caught up to them they were three days from the castle.

I just came here to admire the visuals and animations of this game. My God, by Strategy games, Shogun 2 has arguably the best graphics and animations I have ever seen. Hell, compared to some of the other big blockbuster games like Skyrim, and Assassin's Creed Revelations, Battlefield 3, MW3, the graphics are fucking amazing. Too bad my PC can't run this. @NKismynextgoal Actually this can be quite realistic. Ever hear of a Pyrrhic Victory? The enemy took so many casualties that they would have been unable to defend the castle in a counter attack, so it is safe to say they decided to retreat and save whatever units they had left from annihilation.
