  • All shut up and listen this beautiful masterpiece...

  • I discovered classical music when my aunt gave me a music box for my birthday. I fell in love with the music. It doesn't need any lyrics. The music speaks for itself.

  • So people know the song from "Twilight"? Big deal! How many of us learned classical songs by watching Bugs Bunny?

  • e tão linda k me faz chorar de alegria

  • Where the song was heard is neither here nor there. As long as this great music is heard and loved, what more could anyone ask for?

  • the road to a living hell ,woz paved with good intentions

  • My mother always used to play Claire de Lune. Every few weeks or so, she'd sit down to her grand piano in the living room, painted a wonderful color of light moss-green, with hairline cracks in the paint, and attempt to play it. She could get about half way then would falter. I hope to learn to play the whole thing some day. It's loaded with the White soul. Totally full of White Soul.

  • Spock speaks the truth. As always.

  • people who appreciate the music and knew about not because of some movie feel like they have more of a right to song and really dont like to put up with stuff bout how it was in movie because they been listening to it for a while same way with books and movies

  • knew it cause my last piano teacher made me play a childish version of it. now I have the real version and my teacher won't teach me how to play it cause I'm not good enough yet.

  • @honkernoodles2 patience young grasshopper

  • @fakirpoo lol thanks :)

  • I knew him by playing Arabesque no.1 btw it is wonderful too :-)

  • I knew this because of my parents wonderful upbringing. I don't need some lame movie to introduce beauty into my life. It was placed there by being raised in an environment where talent and creativity is appreciated. You all can have your Twilight.

  • Knew it from Ocean's Eleven.

  • Stima infinita per l'interpretazione di Schmalfuss. Che livelli.

  • magico *_*

  • ...that one person who disliked this is probably deaf.

  • This is beautiful music.

  • τελειο......

  • ..correre al riparo!!!!..questa si..che fa bene..<3

  • listening to beauty such as this makes the world so much easier...

  • @tinyteishy exactly :)

  • i cry to this one at night, its just so beautiful

  • una musica unica e spettacolare!!

  • I play this at night to put my little ones to sleep....so peaceful. Nighty-night.

  • This song is everywhere. I've heard it in at least 10 different commercials over the past year, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and apparently it was in Twilight (which I really don't care.)

  • i first learnt this song from twilight and then i asked my piano teacher to give me this piece and teach me how to play it and i got really ASTOUNED...i love this piece....

  • I heard this song at the age of 11 and fell in love

  • @dancelexdance

    me too, age 12

  • twilight?...i got this at the end of Oceans 11

  • One dislike????

  • I don't understand why people are so determined to abuse Twilight fans about only hearing the song there first, as if it makes you superior because you heard it before the movie played it. So what if it was in a movie and people like it? How is that different from the place you heard it and liked it? I have studied Spartans long before 300 came out but I don't cry that people suddenly like them because of a movie - facepalm-

  • @RetroSpock I don't particularly care where they heard it first, but it's more of the fact that this piece of work is even associated with the movie, in my opinion. It's as if they thought adding a touch of sophistication would magically make the story better. I'm happy it brought more fans along, don't get me wrong. It's just a shame that it took a vampire movie to bring them here, y'know?

  • @RetroSpock Amen, brother, amen.

  • @RetroSpock I totally agree.

  • The first time I heard this personally was when I was of a younger age, it was in 'Walking with dinosaurs' if anyone remembers that? .. And I think it was the Pterosaurs one? haha :L But I looove this song and even set about playing it on piano <3

  • Love this song. Claude de Bussy also wrote a book about the women he wrote the song for. Can anyone tell me where I find the book?

  • Uh... This is also in Ocean's Eleven...

  • @lardman2228 Yeah dude, this fit in well with Oceans Eleven. Just saying.

  • twilight used this song? hmm, better they see it on that way then non at all. Its a nice piece but to be honest i prefer early romantic

  • thumbs up for GeeLArteMiss : "anyone who knows this magnificient song only from "Twilight" is a big dumbass"

  • Wonderful masterpiece!!!

  • this will always be my favorite song by Debussy for sure <3

  • Actually this was also used in the movie 'Dog Soldiers'.

  • i know this magnificent music from the advertisment for Chanel No 5 with Nicole Kidman...well..

    :)

  • FUCK THE POLICE

  • straordinaria melodia

  • In my opinion, anyone who knows this magnificient song only from "Twilight" is a big dumbass who must listen more of this brilliant composer that is Debussy than watch fucking dumbass movies. But this is just my opinion.

  • @GeeLArteMiss tellin it like it is!

  • @GeeLArteMiss Just blame the guys, not the movie :) ! You know what we use to say : "knowledge is like marmelade, the less you have, the more you spread..."

I agree with you though :p

  • @GeeLArteMiss I would also dare add that the person in question is likely to have no idea how to pronounce 'Debussy'.

  • @GeeLArteMiss - this song was used in many ren and stimpy episodes.... and in one of my favorite episodes "the littlest giant"

  • @GeeLArteMiss What's wrong with learning it from Twilight, I mean, I didn't but someone's hard work and effort went into writing the book as did many person's effort go into making the film only to publicize Claude Debussy's magnificent piece. I'd say that it's good for everyone and showing everybody the music that's really out there.

  • @GeeLArteMiss You are the dumbass.

  • @maximusbiddo I just say my opinion: I don't like Twilight and I think that it's a dumbass film. But if you want me to repeat : this is just MY opinion.

And in yours I am dumbass, that's okay. Even if I don't agree.

  • @GeeLArteMiss I agree but then again through teenagers watching "Twilight", it is one way of getting them to hear Debussy's music and may be appreciate classical and the arts more.

    Gaia.

  • @GeeLArteMiss Forgive me if I sound dumb, but I've been seeing a lot of twilight comments on debussy videos. What's a vampire show have to do with this???

  • @AlphaDogmatist Apparently this composition was used in one of the Twilight movies. It has also been featured in Ocean's Eleven and I'm sure many other places.

  • @ROFLinternetROFL Ah I see. Well I've been listening to Debussy for at least 30 years and I've never seen twilight, I know what it is, but never felt compelled to watch it.

  • @AlphaDogmatist You haven't missed anything I assure you!

  • @GeeLArteMiss well I LIKE YOUR OPINION, Missy!

  • @GeeLArteMiss You're completely right. I'm also sick of people saying that they don't like this piece BECAUSE its from twilight. This piece has nothing to do with Twilight, thats just what they picked to accompany the stupid love scene.

  • Comment removed

  • @GeeLArteMiss This is also mine.

  • @GeeLArteMiss But, before I read Twilight, I didn't know anything about this awesome composer, and now, I love his music... Specially this song and "Reverie".

It doesn't matter how do people meet music. The only thing that really minds is how do you feel when you hear all these sweet, soft notes...

  • @MetalFuruude as soon as I saw the top comment, I thought the same thing. People might give generic opinions that claim that everything has to come from a certain place and if it doesn't, it's not sincere, but that's not true at all. If I heard this song from fucking Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse, I wouldn't want to hear shit about it besides, "Well at least you heard this beautiful piece of art from somewhere."

  • @GeeLArteMiss Don't think that you are better than them, that would make you as "dumbass" as you think they are :)

  • @GeeLArteMiss So why mention this Hollywood tripe, "Twilight". Did you have to? Just listen to the music and let's not hear from you.

  • @408Magenta Hear hear!

  • @GeeLArteMiss yea...it's just your opinion and you're also stupid :))) DIE UNDER THE SHOWER FUCKHEAD!

  • @GeeLArteMiss If ignorance is bliss then you must be floating on cloud nine!!!

  • Someone has ripped when he tried to cilck on the button i like...

  • Adoro esta melodia! É linda...linda...linda! ...

  • I've heard in a movie but can not remember which

  • @cioppi3 Twilight?

  • @ what?

  • I think it's the best part ...it is magnificent

  • I particularly like the change of tone after the first minute

  • how can something as beautiful as this have a dislike?

  • like no other
