I just ordered the Fisher Wallace CES device ($200 off used) for my depression and anxiety. These CES devices really seem legitimate - there is an excellent Wall Street Journal article on them. I wish the prices weren't so high and that insurance would cover them when prescribed for psychiatric conditions.
hey bro i sent an email to you, just wondering if the adress is still relevant.so hopefully this will get your attention.
thanks for the video, im thinking of buying the product.can it help with PTSD, also i was wondering if it could help with procrastination as it seems related to the mind.
Thank you so much for your help. we depressives need all the help and info we can get I have been on effexor for about 6 years and desperate to get off. this has given me lots of help, never had heard of this before
@davekl if you read the T&C's it states clearly in the money back guarantee that there is a deduction for consumables. You can't expect to buy a product, use it and then get a full refund. In the states they charge a re-stocking fee, which is basically what they do in the UK. It worked for me for PND and Anxiety (I've had mine two years now)....wouldn't be without it. The company are nothing but supportive - can't fault them at all.
@j0stelle I bought mine over the phone and there was no T&C's I was told of. All of I was told is that if it didn't work for me I would be given a full refund...... Which of course I wasn't.
how long you were on antidepressants. As a nurse can you pls give me an advice on how to come off the medications. i take one pill of seroxat (20mg) and saroten (25 mg 1 pill) plus traxill (10 mg) which helps me to sleep. I am on medications for 4 1/2 years now.
Been using the alpha stim now fo r about 4 weeks and i feel nothing, no changes at all, having said that i had about three days last week that was totally free from anxiety ... how long will it take to get lasting results ?
Alpha Stim 100. Used it 3 days so far. Ear clips on, set the device to .05 3.4 stim. Made me feel like being on a hammock rocking from side to side in my head. Lowered it to 2.3 20 Min.It gave me a headache later on. I suffer from migraines. I tried to get rid of the headache last night with the wands but it did not help. Today the headache is still there. Used it this morning for 20 minutes, did not get rid of the headache. I am hoping that this is not going to be the norm everytime I use it.
I've been using the Alpha-Stim SCS for a few weeks now, and it seems when I was at 20 minutes/night I was doing better (not great, but at least getting by) but once I went to 60 minutes/night my anxiety and depression WORSENED. My doc wants me at 3 hours/day, and I'm depressed because I was really hopeful this would work, but it seems it isn't. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and maybe if I need to get the AS more time and am prejudging it.
F.A.O. People in the UK. If you return the alpha stim because it didn't work for you, they will not refund you in full. They charge you £50. They don't tell you this until you return it. They are very helpful when you buy one, but if it doesn't work for you you will find yourself having to call to chase your money.
@daverkl dude I agree with you and thanks for the warning. I take it the £50 is for the consumables, the pads, the solution, ear clips battery etc etc? Can I ask did the machine help you at all? Also I've heard the Bio Tuner BT7 is less expensive and a more powerful machine than the Alpha Stim? I need it for chronic back pain, neck pain, depression and chronic fatigue. Looking at the machines the Bios Tuner BT7 doesn't seem to have any pads so therefore I doubt it is suitable for back pain?
@Hertsman50 I had it for anxiety. It made it much, much worse that's why I sent it back. They kept saying before I bought it, if you don't for any reason send it back for a refund. When you do that's when the tell you, oh yeah, we're taking £50 off your refund. It was for the 1 (yes one) pad I used.
I was desperate and wanted to try anything to take away the feelings. Now I know there is no magical cure for anxiety, just a little work and belief in yourself.
@daverkl mate these fuckers make a fortune out of our misery. I've been ripped off so many times with these shit devices. TENS machines are fucking shit. So we're led to believe these alpha stim machines work in a different way. I've seen these alpha stim 100 machines selling for up to £600 in the UK. How the fuck can they charge £600 for a stupid shitty little device that gives off a tiny current??? The only thing that has helped me is buffered vitamin C. Huge doses of vit C helps. Good luck.
@Hertsman50 Sorry Hertsman but your ignorance has lead me to respond to your recent post. Don't judge a book by it's cover, why don't you do some investigating and find out how the Alpha-Stim differs from TENS. You never know, you might learn something. As it is, you both are feeding off each others negativity when there is something out there others find hugely beneficial. So @davekl had a bad experience - deal with it and stop stewing in each others misery. IT WORKS! FACT!
@j0stelle erm sorry to piss on your parade but where does it state in my comments that the machine doesn't work???????? Just coz it worked for you it doesn't mean it will work for everyone. Also negativity comes from depression and being ripped off so many times. So what issues has this machine cured for you?? Obviously it is not depression or anxiety? How the fuck do you justify the price of this machine? What exactly is costing £600 to make this machine? Exactly....GREED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Hertsman50 Didn't mean to offend. I use it for Depression and my mother (who was in a serious accident and paralysed) uses the AS100 for pain relief. After using everything the Doctors prescribed (including surgery and botox injections in the back) she got the AS100 and has relief from pain which is a blessing. I don't think you can put a price on quality of life - £600 in my book is worth it. I think the cost is for the technology and research behind it - not the nuts and bolts so to speak.

sorry, reposted too many times (my computer is on the blink). Listen, I'm not a confrontational person and I didn't mean to upset you. All I am saying is that yes it doesn't work for everyone, but for a majority it does and I can see that you have been asking questions about it so why not try it for yourself. It did help enormously with my Depression (it took a few weeks) and I wouldn't be without mine. I would anyone to give it a go (infact, two of my friends used mine and then got their own).
Thanks for sharing, I am on disability right now for depression, generalized anxiety disorder, insomnia, agoraphobia, and chronic pain after a major back surgery to correct scoliosis. As soon as I can save up the money,I will try this. ~Tina

The ALPHA-STIM® 100 also treats acute, chronic, and postoperative pain and the ALPHA-STIM® PPM (Personal Pain Manager) is designed as an alternative to TENS ...
hey i keep ending up on your vids xD first 5-htp now this xD
wich of the 2 do you prefere? would you advise combining them? (might not be a good idea since both increase serotonin.
ps these devices are based on whats called ces (Cranial electrotherapy stimulation) and actually pretty simple and waay overpriced, if you have a few soldering skills you can easily make these devices yourself for less then $70 there's a lot of plans available depending howcomplex u want it.see su.pr / 258lnW
@saintlysimon It does work and CES is very real. It's actually been around since the 50's. The alpha-stim will relieve anxiety, for sure, however it doesn't do a great job with depression. If you have anxiety issues I'd try this.
I've had an Alpha Stim SCS on trial for a month and I have to say I'm impressed. As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety for decades, the Alpha stim seems to be a useful alternative to anti-depressants.
At the end of the trial I have to decide whether to buy one or not. At the thick end of £300 it is not cheap, but I am very very tempted!
Thanks for that Gary! Alpha-Stim is now available in New Zealand without a prescription. Getting good results in Australia and NZ, including with Aspergers and other conditions.

Are you still using Alpha Stim? Have you been able to use less often or do you have to use everyday? Can you go a day or two feeling okay without treatment? Interested in what it's like, how you feel etc... after 9 mos. of use. I'm presently taking 2-3 5mg Valium (diazepam) a day and would like to be able to feel calm, relaxed etc... without relying on medication. Any further info will be appreciated. Thanks for posting and I hope you're doing and feeling well Gary. Thanks again.
