  • The little slow drumbeat in the back was cute. hehe

  • Takk fyriiiiiir! ( thank you )

  • Bravo! Saluti da la Svezia

  • great video. very helpfull!

  • Great stuff. What this illustrates perfectly is just how much space Jaco would leave in his lines, even when they're seemingly full of notes :)

  • E invece guarda un po'! Io non solo non contesto la tua scelta, ma ti ringrazio pure che ci hai fatto sentire il brano più lentamente. Almeno ho potuto imparare qualcosa. Grande!

  • youre all puusies this helps you get an idea what jaci was doin in this great piece!

  • My friend is 13 and can play it in normal speed :D

  • @decyty Well I'm impressed :P. I can play it in normal speed too, and I'm 15, but what's REALLY important is how accurate you play it, I play it slower just to get it perfect

  • @blackbull2433 Indeed!

I'm a singer and guitarist myself so got to agree with you.

You should really check him out ^^ (second video on my profile).

  • @decyty WOW, that's really good 0_0

  • @blackbull2433

Then post one up of normal speed. Fagdick.

  • Very instructional, thanks from Spain!

  • Play it full speed, pussy.

  • @1994Jordynn man, if you want play the song to full speed. hear the studio version you pussy hehehe.

    good work dude!

  • @1994Jordynn Watch "Teen Town by me", noob...

  • @TheLaurente

    You love dicks.

  • @1994Jordynn :P

  • I love you!

  • i love yu man

  • nice

  • muito obrigado foi de grande ajuda, tank you very much!!!!

  • This was extremely helpful for learning the part after the main riff. I learned the whole piece because of this video and I can't thank you enough. Keep up the good work!

  • 2:20 O.o

  • Great playing fellow bassist! Some people here say there may be a few inncorrect parts, but I can't really pick up on them. I would have to go back and hear the tune again. As far as I'm concerned, you played very well. I would much rather hear someone play teen town like this (slow tempo, but great timing) than the song at regular tempo with a butt load of problems, like some people on here do. I agree with a lot of you. If you can play this fast, but not slow like this, then somethings wrong.

  • grazie Funky

  • si vabbè però a velocità dimmezzata so buono pure io

  • @SuperPippoFrancoShow ah,ah! Ci credo!

    Bravo funkystanky

  • in my opinion ... you rock dude

  • Thank you, this is just what I needed to learn this one. I appreciace you slowing it down for us regular guys.

  • i couldn't help laughing a bit, because i have the same bass you do and was just practicing that song +- at that speed xD

  • Rhythm is not correct.

  • @FleaHomer don't just leave it like that. Where is it wrong. I'm trying to learn the tune and I don't want to show off an incorrect version.

  • @FleaHomer You're a douche. LEt the man play....if you're not paying him then stfu.

  • Nice one. Playing slow is just as difficult as playing fast and sometimes, it's harder!

  • hey dude - thanks for the time and effort for putting this up here - helped me!

  • This is great, I've been wanting to learn this for so long but could never catch the notes. Excellent post!

  • Thank you for the demonstration! This helped Tremendously!

  • thank you for the (rythm) help

  • It's guys like you that make Youtube worth viewing. You help break down a tough tune for those who wish to play at a higher level. Thanks for this post. It's helped me quite a bit.

  • Thanks! this is really helpful! and i agree with mingusmonk0, youve got an amazing tone

  • Nice try... sounds good but there is a couple rhythmic inaccuracies melodic accidents. inflections too. Sorry I'm a teacher and I know this one. Let's hear it full speed.

  • this is true! thanks :D

  • @snamezaf

there are some bassplayers who like this at slow speed. Not every bassplayer is a bassgod.

If you are a real teacher you should understand this. Why do you want to hear this full speed? To give more comment???

    @Funky; good work!!!! Thnx!!!

  • @snamezaf So what if you are a teacher just SHUT UP and listen . NOW is NOT your time to teach

  • @ZENSIBLE You have a good point here! haha! Great tumbao on your page by the way!

  • thanks to help the bassist world

  • You have the ideal Jazz Bass tone. Kudos!

  • that could be due to it being a CS bass lol

  • DUDE! You're GREAT man! Nice, NICE job on that. Tone is awesome and I can tell by the way you're playing it slowly that you can play it at any speed! FANTASTIC!

  • Grazie mille davvero! Grandioso

  • amico grazie questo mi serviva più dell'acqua!!! bravo!!! :))))

  • thank you so much, this vid's gonna help me a lot with my next bass exam.

  • this is helpful. im starting to get it! thanx man!

  • 0:28 nice vibrato man!!!

  • yeah man portrait of tracy should be next

  • you dont really need such perfect timing in a song like portrait of tracy, although it is to perfection the way jaco does it

  • NIce man. Thank you for putting this up. If you made one for portrait of tracy you would be my hero. lol

  • wouldnt of been able to learn the song without this vid. you are the man :)

  • thank you very much mister! i can't play it this slow, in 5 years i will be able to play it like Jaco yeah!

  • I go to say something silly. When I heard this version I imagine the Jaco's Granpa playing this. I am joking. This version is different but It is good. It is good to have different versions.

  • heh heh :ø)

  • Thank you very much, this is a tremendous help for learning that monster of a bass line.

  • very nice! as people say, if u can play it fast but you can't play it slow, then u can't really play it!!

  • yeaaaa men is a original version, and you time is good, is not necesary run with this song

the best version jaja and the most funniest

  • I can play this song better than you!!xD

no, it's so good you can play so good!
