To make it run at top speed you had to hold the joystick upside down and tilt it left-right fast.

This is one of the first games I ever played (the first is elevator action). I never managed to finished it.However in Daley Thomsons olympic challenge I managed to finish it!In this game I destroyed 2 joysticks!!!!

I never played the original Daley Thompson games until I got a 6128 recently, but I bought the box box version of Olympic Challenge on Tape as a kid. Loved it, and the audio tape that came with it :D

Oh, I saw your GX4000 collectors guide article on the web recently, when did you write that originally?

@LarryBundyJr When the site was put live, which was about 2 coming on 3 years ago. I could be wrong, I'm slightly drunk right now - I would say it's still accurate to this day but ive seen less and less carts appear on Ebay over the last year apart from the usual suspects.

I've got RSI due to this game. Brilliant game though. Nice and colourfull on the Amstrad.It's full of bugs on the speccy. Don't know if the Amstrad version is the same.

@SPINNYFUCK I've seen this game in your TOP 10 best games.It plays rather well on the CPC but generally CPC and Speccy versions differ only in graphics and rarely in gameplay....

@SPINNYFUCK Yea I heard about the bugs which allowed you to cheat in most events ... like the high jump you run passed the posts and jump directly up and you get ridiculous scores or sommat? I didn't find any in the Amstrad version tho :(

@Murfadurf83 The Speccy version is great! This was well tough on the Amstrad so eventually gave up on it
