What a load of bollocks. Walking in front of traffic, and burning yourself with hot liquid. i've never heard so much bullshit about heroin in my entire life. As an ex user I can testify that statement is utter nonsense, and the real irony is that pure heroin have no harmful effects on the body or the mind, while alcohol and other over the counter drugs are very harmful. Alcohol impairment might make you walk in front of a bus, spill hot liquid over yourself, or even make you violent.

Heroin/diamorphine/morphine/opium etc. at low doses (non-fatal) is completely harmless; it's all the dirty needles, collapsed veins, over-dosing and cutting drugs with toxic/unclean chemicals that's the dangerous part. I can testify that heroin does not make you walk infront of moving vehicles and/or make you pour hot liquids on yourself. Who writes this stuff? Peace.
I do not condone heroin use...but being a former addict, I can honestly say that after doing it your not going to walk into traffic because your frontal lobe is shut down, or try to take a bath in fire. Heroin is horrible, but that shit is just propaganda. No need to say that kind of stuff when there's so many truthfully bad things to be known about it.

It never ceases to amaze me at how many 10's of thousands or even 100's of thousands of dollars in man power, fuel, high tech machinery and lives are spent on each drug bust that nets 1 lousy ounce or two of drugs. The United States government is run by a bunch of short sighted dimwits. Prohibition just does not work. The sooner we as a country admit this and stop wasting billions of dollars a year on a lost cause, the sooner we can move forward with the real answer. Treatment, not Prison.
