  • cool beans bro

  • The typical muzzle energy of a .357 magnum is about 750 joules or 550 ft/lbs. You wouldn't call a .357 magnum round "under powered". The typical muzzle energy for .30 cal carbine is 1190 joules or 880 ft/lbs. Charles Whitman was to fatally wound people up to 300 yards out with his carbine.

  • 30 carbine was a little under powered for a military rifle, lite yes, light ammo yes, but not the muzzle velo of the M16 or the punch of the M1 gerand. Deffinitly a great history, even IBM made them.

  • nice not only can you see the vapor trails you can see the projectiles arc into the target nice film

  • I want that gun so badddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.

  • Well.. times like these make me feel grateful that I live in America. I too may potentially own one of these :D

  • you and Hickok should do a woods walk together and take out like 100 zombies

  • great video, I have one also and love it.

  • @AquaAnim How is telling someone that german guns are and was better funny? You yank prick

  • @MyThePooP

its funny because in 1940...the Springfield armory filled out an order for 400,000 1903s to be sent to the UK, since Enfields were in low supply.

  • Leave the AR at home this one's a keeper. Seems to be a pretty accurate old rifle.

  • good vid thanks for sharing!

  • I love m1 carbine! A piece of History, with an interesting ammunition and damn... she looks sexy!

  • @MarkTools german weps are better

  • @MyThePooP Comments like this make me laugh, its so childish.

  • @MyThePooP

German weapons had inferior ballistics and inferior rear non adjustable sights.

All US weapons since 1881 were match capable.

  • @USMarineRifleman0311 Thats the stupidet thing ive ever heard, your just a typicall patroit

  • @MyThePooP

I have actual hands on weapons experience, whereas you...a European probably never fired a 98k outside of a video game.

I own 2 K98s and various WW2 US type rifles.

when it comes to weapons, europeans dont know shit, youre one of them

  • @USMarineRifleman0311 Thats it you fucking yank you crossed the line, my uncle fought wth the germans and my uncle has 1 mp40 and 2 k98k tried both of them and let me tell you mr smart guy .. the weapons and the sights are lot better then ur plastic american m4

  • @MyThePooP

My own grandfather was a grenadier with the 2nd SS. There is no fucking way any veteran was able to keep full auto SMGs or even rifles in 1945. I say this because Im European born and I know European laws.

The v notch sights on all German and Euro weaponry is inferior to the American peep/match grade sight. The aperture peep is preferred for accuracy by all match shooters in the world today.

    30-06 > 8mm Mauser

    45 ACP > 9mm Parabellum

  • @USMarineRifleman0311 mate, he bought them ..

  • I lmao when he said "god I love this unedited *BEEP*.

  • Damn Rick Jason & Vic Morrow are never around when you need them.

  • @tnoutdoors9. Very good shooting. Springfield socum is my favorite

  • Hate people firing with pillows under the weap... get the fuck out the confort zone! even not forget weapons and go back to kitchen.

  • Nice video dude keep em coming and by the way I almost had a laugh when you said shit!

  • I just purchased an Inland made in 1943 as well. I'm still getting to know it and I'm sure it will be a joy for many years to come.

  • they dont sale it at walmart do they

  • thanks

  • i would love to have one of those one day

  • weapons are simple but very reliable in battle.

  • where can i buy ammo for it i cant find 30 cal ammo

  • @MrDemasticate try sportsmansguide on the internet.

  • @MrDemasticate cabelas.com, they have Hornady ammo in .30 carbine that is great, or just get it from Hornady.com

  • @MrDemasticate walmart.

  • @ohioa6driver and when you ask for it, make sure you ask for 30 carbine or they will laugh at you haha

  • @MrDemasticate online.. sportmansguide has some

  • @MrDemasticate They sell it at my local Walmart. I have also bought it from the CMP.

  • @MrDemasticate cheaperthandirt(dot)com

  • if i had to choose a gun in WW2 to fight, M1 was my weapon of choice for sure.

  • The M1 carbine is probably the most fun gun I have ever owned.

  • @IndianaJesusfreak They are a lot of fun, I regret selling mine.

  • Back when American guns were proper and well made. Not overpriced because of a name and passively mediocre in the materials used to make them like they are now. No wonder WW1/WW2 guns cost so much, people want guns that will actually last.

  • 2:38 you can see the bullet flying through the air --> the air gets hot and it's flickering... wow!

  • nice gun. i like it

  • Shot stop talking u ass hole dislike

  • Man that thing really spits brass. looks like it went 5 feet clean over your head.

  • The drop on those shots is huge.I would never have thought the M1 carbine round would drop that much over 200 yards!!

  • @silver760 they have a 350 yard sight if you have the ramp type rear sight

  • "Go for the bacon first"

  • This will sound stupid on a weapons video but I believe no one has the right of who lives or dies. Thats why I support people using them for hunting. Or just going rambo and using your bare hands. I like this gun btw. I just wish I had the cash to get a M1 Garand. Minimun wage won't cut it!

  • There not vapor trails-_-

  • Comment removed

  • Killed my first deer with a M1 Carbine when I was 12...killed many more with different weapons since, but I still hunt the brush with that same little M1.

  • Thats redonkulous. I had no idea an M1 carbine could be effective at 200 yards, I learned something today.

  • not a very powerful round, but always found this to be a very easy gun to hit with at closer ranges, very light & light recoil, great in close bush areas, yet again its just a pumped up pistol round

  • Vapor trails give me a boner

  • I love how u are supprised by even your own shots

  • Had 2 of these till they were banned.

  • Good shooting

  • hey tnoutdoors, about last month i was firing my fathers m1 carbine, the casing flew straight up into the air, primer side hit the bolt, and the casing went right into the wood, most amazing thing ever

  • They are not vapor trails. The air disturbance is caused by a shockwave creating a compressed disk of air that bends light like the hot air leaking through an open window in winter resulting in that flimmering texture of the light as the, in this case, hot low density air hits the cold denser air outside. vapor usually refers to water particles in various states of condensation which would create a puff of steam or a steam trail which I have never seen a bullet emit.

  • epic "SWIRLS" sir. me gramp's garand got burnt in a fire along with a pristine 1911. darn.

  • The m1 Carbine is unbelievably accurate. I have my grandpa's from WW2 and the thing shoots GREAT. Awesome video man!

  • @GUITARPLAYAx93x

Dude...the M1 Carbine is a cute light fast handling little rifle but "unbelievably accurate" is not one of their qualities.

  • @Blahblobify That's funny because mine groups like a boss. You can't argue with results.

  • @GUITARPLAYAx93x

OK Mr. Rifleman....at 200 yards my Ruger M-77 (7mm Remington Magnum) shoots MOA....about 2" groups. I consider THAT to be very accurate, but not SUPAR accurate.

Now tell me what your "unbelievably accurate" M1 carbine does at 200 yards, I am curious.

  • @Blahblobify Ok smartass, it's unbelievably accurate for an iron sight semi-auto carbine. Better?

  • @Blahblobify Oh, and you can see what his M1 Carbine is doing at 200 yards with iron sights. Maybe you should watch the video first?

  • @GUITARPLAYAx93x

I watched the video, yes I was impressed with what he was dpoing.

But calling the M1 carbine "unbelievably accurate" is just a stupd fuck shit claim.

    They shoot about 5 MOA.....for a rifle that's crap.

  • @Blahblobify Whatever man, comparing an M1 to your Ruger M-77 is retarded in the first place. Cool, your 7mm Remington Magnum can shoot a little better than a .30 caliber carbine with iron sights, which basically shoots a glorified pistol cartridge. Congratulations.

  • @GUITARPLAYAx93x

You said the M1 carbine was UNBELIEVABLY ACCURATE and I'm pointing out that you are a stupid fuck shit for that claim.

  • @Blahblobify "Unbelievably" means most people wouldn't believe it. Before you saw this video, would you have believed me if I said I was putting 4 inch groups on a target at 200 yards with iron sights, using an M1 Carbine? Most people wouldn't, hence "unbelievably accurate."

  • @GUITARPLAYAx93x

No, I wouldn't believe 4" groups at 200 yards with an M1 carbine.

    I still don't.

What this guy is getting on the target at 3:03 is about what I'd expect .

  • @Blahblobify You also need to remember he's shooting with iron sights, and his grouping is affected by his abilities as well as the rifle's. If it was bolted down, it would be an even tighter grouping.

  • Thats pretty good shooting man, I have the same rifle, my barrel is stamped 44 so it probably shoots similar. I've never tried shooting outside of 100 yds with it. Thats not bad for open peep sites. Nicely done.

  • Ive got the same model. Grampa has had it for decades. I finally brought it out and I shoot it a lot for fun. Ive never had a malfunction.

  • i had an m-1 back when i was younger, ww2 surpuls also. that was the nicest shooting and rugged rifle and i could do some good shooting with it. the pawn /surplus shop guy sold me two 30 round magazines and 2x15. i kept it for a long time and wish i hadn't sold it. with modern ammo it would function fine, if it was older surplus it would have a misfire every so often but the 30 rd. m2 magazines worked just fine . people deride it but there are a lot of dead bad guys who it helped send away.

  • looks fun and got shot man

  • what a beauty

  • damit hate for you be shooting at me hehehe very good man

  • sorry ,but i just dont think your going to kill an enemy at 220 yards with that little .30 cal plinker gun.

  • great shots my friend not sure i could even see the targets very well at that range :)

  • nice shooting there bro : )

  • like no recoil

  • OHHH!! Nice trails love to see them especially from an M1 Carbine!

  • yoo, thats a nice video man, actually a NIIICE Camera too!!

  • Great shooting! I'm getting a Carbine in the near future, your video really makes me look ahead to getting it.

  • @crockagator919 thats just a .30 caliber plinking gun . get a real m1a -m14 youll be amazed in the differance.

  • Carbine beats a gas tube AR period. I've handled the latter And I was not impressed.

  • And so many people think the good ol' carbine is inacurate. Thanks for helping me prove this wrong! Thanks for this video. Great shooting!

  • omfg vapor trails of the bullets looks amazing...like in the SF movies

    great!

  • Don't underestimate these,I've seen 6" green round locust posts cut in half with one at 50 yards,30 round magazine!!!

  • Major props, that is some good shooting out of that carbine!

  • just found one of these in my dads basement yesterday. he didn't even know he had it. infield with a 600k sn #

  • @jdymes101101

You just experienced a dream for alot of people!

  • @tnoutdoors9 excuse me "inland" not "infield"

  • @tnoutdoors9 good shootn

  • @tnoutdoors9 is the m1 carbine a good rifle

  • @cptmawsome hell yes its a great rifle i watched a m1 do more damage to a 1 foot block of clay than a 8mm Mauser and a 30-06 both did

  • @gunnut104 haha sweet was it just using a jacket or a normal bullet

  • @cptmawsome they were using the same ammo everyone uses full metal jacket rounds and dont pay any attention to the nay sayers they dont know what they are talking about i have the scope mount and a 4x25 scope on mine and i dare one of the idiots to be my target out at 350 yards they would never be able to make another comment

  • @gunnut104 hehe you'll be sitting on your roof waiting

  • @jdymes101101 That is awesome man!

  • @jdymes101101 lucky SOB!

  • @jdymes101101 lol who just finds a gun in their basement? you lucky fucker.

  • @jdymes101101 you just found one laying around?

    thats weird

  • @jdymes101101 you lucky dog!

  • @playherone What the hell is your problem? Were not here to look at the dudes hair, troll somewhere else.

  • Seeing the air vibrate as the round arced through was awesome. And great shooting!

  • If you look at the big target you can see the bullet drop

  • That's fine shooting tnoutdoors! I own 2 of these little rifles. A VERY early Universal assembled with GI parts and a gorgeous original 1943 Underwood . They both shoot fantastic and are my favorite rifles. I bagged a nice deer with 110 grain Winchester hollow point ammo last season. One shot kill at 40 yards. Deer fropped on the spot and did not get up and run either. Nothing wrong with them for deer if you respect their capabilities and place the bullet where it needs to be put. Great video!

  • Hey, I was wondering if you could help me out on something here. What does grains mean when you say stuff like "110 grain"? I've heard the term grains before but what does it mean? I'm guessing it has something to do with the gunpowder.

  • @Crazylegs973 That would be the weight of the bullet itself.

  • @89Sunbird Oh. Thanks!

  • Impressive!

  • Nice shooting bro!

  • Look at the upper left shoulder to see the vapor trail

  • I'm curious , what kind of camera are using sir ?

  • @tnoutdoors9

    woot for inland

    I got a m1 carbine Inland , a July 1944 production in a repo m1a1 stock, and i love it.

Shooting with Tula .30 carbine ammo, steel cased but no issues so far.

    Thanks for the post

  • Fun to shoot, but no combat weapon. I'd rather carry something that shoots a more powerful round. But these M1 carbines are a fun rifle to have and shoot.

  • @nocrap62 search the history channel archives to find the truth about your statement you will find out that during the french occupation of vietnam the french requested carbines from our gov because of the destructive power of the round ask the french how many nva they killed with it you will be surprised to find the answer

  • @gunnut104

oh hell if you saw it on TV then it must be so.

The 30 M1 Carbine round is a 110 grain pistol bullet with a 1900 fps muzzle velocity, it's OK at close range but looses velocity FAST, at 200 yards it's barely more powerful than .380 acp. It sucks.

But if History Channel says the French thought it was teh awesome then go with that, igonore the facts.

  • Great vid hey do a vid on the mini 14

  • @snookienibbles. I think the m1 carbine is a great wepon and has a way more reliable action than the m4 or m16 as I had my m16a2 fail twice in Iraq. But there are reports from korea war vets that the 30cal round did not always penatrate though the winter uniform of the north Koreans. That is why I now own the best of both the mini 14 m1 action 223 5.56 round and just as accurate as a m4

  • hell if i was issued a semiautomatic id probrably coose the m1 carbine more than the m1 if it was just to go on patrol,HOWEVER, id use the m1 garand for a battle due to the reliable status its aquired

  • Awesome run man!

  • You are an amazing shot!...Great videos as well. I hope to be as good as you one day! =]

  • This a whole lot better then a pistol u have .30 cal mag and this gun is low recoil and light I think I might get one in the future

  • As a curio - nice. For home defense, it's better than a pistol but that's about it.

  • @redlegagent, Not so! It's at least as good at as a .223 M4...muzzle energies are similar, and the M1 offers .30 cal. bore w. twice the projectile mass over a .22. An M1 w. softpoint is a superior 50 yd. defense rifle to the .223 in areas of reliable penetration & controlled expansion. Accounts from law enforcement who've used the M1 so loaded has it giving a good accounting of itself. It's light weight, fast on-target capability, and mag capacity make it a worthy choice for shorter ranges.

  • Preeminent shooting! I love that rifle. Man, when you have this video full-screened at 1080p resolution, you feel like you're there sitting right next to you.

  • i got a question my grandpa just got me a m1a1 carbine today, its pretty old i wouldn't feel bad saying it was made sometime in 1941-1945

i was wondering the gun is really rusted, and the hammer or the thing you pull back any idea how much to fix it?

  • @KevyBProductions If it is actually a M1a1, lots of money, for a true restoration. If the stock is in need of repair than serious bucks. You sure it is not a M1 ?

  • @LimpingCrow No its for sure a m1a1 im sorta of a war world 2 buff even though im young. The stock is fine but the hammer the thing that pushes the round is sorta cracked. Besides that the only others bad things on the gun is rust, and there is no clip.

  • @KevyBProductions Clean it up and see what you got ! If it doesnt have a orginal collapsable stock it isnt a M1a1. Lots of after market stocks out there. But if you have a original, you have a keeper and a little piece of history. Nice :)

  • @KevyBProductions you can go to gun parts corp .com and get replacement parts pretty cheap and if you search a little more you can find great deals elsewhere but gun parts corp covers every gun we can possess

  • very nice shooting, is that an inland?

  • @kamekazi301

    Yes, 1943 Inland, General Motors.

  • holy shit nice shooting!

  • oh no zombie's!gotcha covered "pulls out a m1"

  • Same m1 i have.

  • 3rd shot after you zoomed in, you can really see the vapor trails!

  • I'd LOVE to own an M1 Carbine. those things have nice power and compact size. Then again, the M1 Garand isn't too large either.

  • I just started watching your videos as I'm purchasing a Glock 19, and I want to say I loved the vapor trails!

  • gotta love this unedited *boop* haha

  • Great rifle, tried one myself a year ago, hardly any recoil :)

  • that is DAMN good shooting my friend.

  • Fine video, something the unedited video are better. Can't get any more real than this.

  • Hey man can you tell me if you can operate the magazine release with your index finger without moving your firing hand like an AR15?

  • @jimothy183 you could if i remember correctly. if you have a big enough hand, its a tiny gun compared to most rifles. just get a later model (non WWII) since they have a selector switch safety.

  • @jimothy183 i can remove my trigger finger from the trigger guard and depress the mag release with my trigger finger with no problem and i have a ww2 saginaw gear model with bayonet lug

  • @gunnut104 got one from sg as well

  • how does the aquila ammo shoot. any jams or any missfires?

  • @foldgers88

No problems yet, but I've really only shot a box or so of the stuff.

  • Great shooting man, and great gun!

I'm 17 now and when I turn 18 I plan on acquiring many guns, including this M1 Carbine. I just love the idea of shooting guns and even cleaning them haha.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • that is very awesome how you can see the actual bullet "trail" almost matrix like, you can see the lob of the bullet haha

  • Nice shooting, loved the vapor trails

  • i do love this unedited *bleeep!* haha

  • Never noticed the awesome vapor trails sweeeeet

  • ive had some rough feeding issues with the aquila ammo in .45 in my 1911`s.

Not failure to feed, its just really rough and you can feel it. My kimber is tight and my taurus is loose and neither like it to well just my experience

  • You are without a doubt "The Man" lol. Great vid as always with a great rifle with historical significance. Keep up the good work. Be the best sheep dog you can be. Rangers Lead The Way.

  • Great rifle, on a sidenote, Aguila the "Guila" is pronounced like "quila" as in "Tequila".

  • @Bandanabandito1

Thanks, I'll remember that next time. I also plan to try their .22 LR ammo.

  • @tnoutdoors9 Do you own any M1 Garand rifle?

  • @tnoutdoors9 They make some really cool .22 ammo; see my vid reviews. They make the highest velocity .22 ammo on the market: 30gr 1750FPS "super maximum hyper velocity", They make the most accurate .22 ammo 60gr "Sniper Sub Sonic", and the quietest .22 ammo: 20gr 500FPS "Super Colibri".

  • @tnoutdoors9 what do you think of this rifle for a shtf weapon? does it have decent stopping power at 200 yards?
