I have a question for anyone: for African American (natural) hair, is it ever a problem if you co-wash like every other day? How often do you do yours? Is there ever a point when you could wash it too much? and i feel like my hair gets dry really easily... HELP!
Your hair is really pretty! I lost my natural hair battle and now I'm back on that creamy hair crack...lol.. I thought I was the only person having issues with the tangle teezer and how time consuming it is. I like the ecostyler gel with argan oil better than the olive oil.
the white stuff was probably a combination of products because...if you use something with cones in it and then try to wash ur hair with a cone free shampoo or co wash with a cone free conditioner...so yea cause i had that and it sucked...to get rid of that just re wash ur hair with a cone shampoo or conditioner and it shud come right out!
I can't believe the tangle teezer didn't work for you. I couldn't do anything before I used that. Now it's like butter! But looks like you don't need to do anything different because your hair looks fab!
Interesting. You're the 1st person I've ever heard that did not rave about the tangle teezer upon first use. I love it and i have thick 'dont comb me' course hair!!! lol maybe you'll like it better with better conditioner. better luck next time cuz that thing is the bomdotcom
Try using Tresemee naturals to detangle...it's cheap and has slip. Sally has a mixed chick knock off, women on the forums say it's very comparable. I have 4a/4b hair and use solely the tangle teezer...it works, just part your in half(time saver).
@HennaRo22 i'll have to take a look at that tresemee and mixed chicks once I run out all the products I currently have (which is like a billion bottles of stuff, lol)
I would guess the oil and water emulsified and that was the white stuff, altho i have Caucasian hair it is coarse thick and curly and i tend to use the same products as black girls and something i have found to be an awsome conditioner with lots of slip is Aveda brillance the shampoo is awsome too it is expensive but so worth it! xox from Canada
thanks for the 411 on this product. Though I have heard good things about the One and Only argan shampoo/conditioner and have personally got the Elasta QP soy OYL deep conditioner. Verdict is out though.
@MakeupOnABudget Well actually, I am not really good at the maintaining part. Most times, on day 2, i'll put my hair up in a puff because that is how I put my hair when I sleep. Or if I want to wear it down again, I just wet it again in the shower, throw more conditioner on it and more styling product.
The white stuff comes from a combination of the Eco Styler and any conditioner. When I was using Eco Styler, I could not find any regular conditioner or leave-in that it would mesh well with. Your hair looks fabulous!!
where did you get your glasses?

you have beautiful hair

the reason you had the white globs was because you were using a creme based conditioner instead of a water based conditioner

I TRIED THE TEEZER. IT WORKED BUT MY HAIR IS MUCH SHORTER THAN YOURS.

@MrCharliesangel yeah, i think that its the length of my hair that might be the problem.

Is your hair naturally curly like that? In those cute tight curls as opposed to frizzy?
funkiichiicka 1 year ago
@funkiichiicka yup! well, the products I used obviously cut down on the frizz and help define the curls, but otherwise, yes, this is my natural curl.
