@vonbrian He was ashamed that he wasent able to save his world (and probably his girlfriend) from being devoured by the heartless, so he decided that he wouldent allow anyone to call him Squall until he had atoned. Hopefully, since in the credits for Kingdom Hearts 2 he received a letter with Rinoa's wing-marks on it, we can start calling him Squall again.
