I have a community forum on my website now. I can offer free help through that platform. I'm not able to take on new private students right now, but I will post my schedule later in the year. Hope to see you on my website. :)
Please consider visiting my website today! I have opened a community forum. Sign in and start asking your language questions. It will be much easier for me to answer all questions and have discussions on the forum. See you there!
mrs.jannife I am from Georgia. I want to learn english .... :) you are very good teacher, I anderstand your lessons, beouce they are very intelligible... please help me... can you?
I will continue to make videos as long as Natasha wants to study. :) I think these lessons are helping many. When you have questions, you can post them on my main YouTube channel page or my website. Best wishes!
Sometimes I'll push a bit to see if Natasha can produce a sound more clearly, but as long as her accent doesn't interfere with communication, then I'll often back off. :)
In Russian, a person has a first name and then a form that friends and family use. It's somewhat similar to a nickname. In English, Steven might be Steve, and Deborah can be Debbie or Deb. In Russian, Natalia becomes Natasha, and Alexander becomes Sasha. :)
@JenniferESL Actually, I want to thank you for these lessons for beginners! My mom has started to learn from you! It's interesting even for me. I'm gonna share the link on my Facebook page.
Hooray! I'm so glad. I realize that many of my current viewers are already past this level. There will also be others who will easily get tired of this "old school" approach. But I also believe there will be new viewers who can learn along with Natasha, and among them will be plenty of older learners. Natasha and I will do our best to demonstrate progress week by week. Thanks for your suport.
No, Natasha doesn't teach Russian. She's a busy mother of three. We are two moms trying to achieve a goal. We have to make good use of the resources (and the little time) we have. We're filming in her son's bedroom because it's the largest space for me to write. It's also quiet since we can shut the door. (Except when someone walks in!) :)
Jennifer, I had a question regarding this proverb/phrase (I don't know what it is called) - Don't burn the bridge. What does it mean? Someone said don't burn the bridge when you resign from this company. Does it mean to resign amicably or resign without destroying your relationship with the company?
Great idiom. Did you see my English Vocabulary lesson on expressions about bridges? I cover "burn bridges." You don't want to burn bridges when you resign because you don't know what the future holds and if present relationships will still be of value to your career. So yes, it means to leave on good terms. It doesn't necessarily mean you part as good friends, but your professional relationsip is still a healthy one.
Hi jennifer and natasha. I've watched your first lesson right now and I think it's greatly wonderful ;) and is really amusing to see natasha trying to repeat to herself the sentences while you jennifer are going to write new ones on the dashboard. :)
I mean she's willing to improve her knowledge and tries her best do it
I think I'll watch the whole series videos and I'm sure they'll be beneficial to me and other people anyway :)
Try hard Natasha because these lessons are useful also for people who is not a fresh, indeed,i discovered thank to this lessons who (whom??that??) i am not able to pronounce "good" in a proper manner yet?Thank you!!!:)))
Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. I'm lucky to have your support. I know many of you are in need of more advanced topics, but I've wanted to make a series for beginners for a long time. I'm grateful Natasha is willing to learn on camera (at least part of the time). Like me, she hopes our video lessons will help others. Please continue to encourage her as we continue our studies. AND for all you upper level students, a new video in the series English for Professionals will soon be ready!
@JenniferESL Of course but I think I'll use these lessons to get a better pronunciation. I realized that my good is more like a russian gud than an american gʊd :) SO natasha do not give up. For you but for me and many others too :) ulix
Hello, Jennifer!
I realy like the way that you teach the people.
I wish that you could teach me too.
What would you say?
