I've always liked the melody for this hymn, and know it as an advent carol, though it can be used at Easter as well. In the New Century Hymnal (UCC), the first verse is...
"Lift up your heads, O mighty gates; behold the glorious ruler waits
The sovereign one is drawing near; the savior of the world is here."
This is played very nice thank you very much, but i think i've once heard it being played a little faster, i also can play it myself on my keyboard.. but your version is giving me some more ideas too, to do it differently.
This is perhaps one of my favorite hymns and it's played so beautifully. It really motivates me for the upcoming easter season. You wouldn't happen to know Lord You Have Come to the Seashore? That's the Catholic name, I believe it's Lakeshore for the Protestant version. I would love to hear that hymn. Thanks for this and all your videos.
So beautiful thank you- the hymns of Easter are often so majestic. The Lord is touching hearts through your internet videos Lance. May He continue to bless you and work through you.
For those like andopoka who never heard it:
"Christ is alive, Christ is alive! His cross stands empty to the skies. Let streets and homes with praises ring, his love in death shall never die."
I am playing for a christmas party this December and am gonna use this as ''Joy To The World''

This sounds fantastic. I would love to use this at Church. I play the Pipe Organ. Where can I find the sheet music for this?

This song came across to me as when I was looking for "Lift Up Your Heads, Ye Mighty Gates." I think it's a wonderful tune. 4 Days until Christmas!
Have a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!
Wonderful Playing :)
