  • Sat here smoking a cigarette......in tears. Genius.

  • I really like this performance... She has a very humble sound to her...

  • I'm 21 and this is one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • Thank you for posting this. Made my sorry ass cry. This song was very popular when I was a boy and it reminds me of my old ma.

  • Joni is an angel

  • i feel sorry for the one person who disliked this, they obviously have the misfortune of horrible music taste. this song, and really every one of her songs..are so beautiful and creative. i want to be her.

  • Ahh Beautiful People Yuppie Music ---- not Folk Music.

  • "Be patient for the beauty of rosewood......."

  • THIS is what real music sounds like...thank you Joni, for all these years of beauty!

  • For u Polo

  • Fuck you Simon Cowell, keep yer sweaty, greedy little fingers off ANYTHING written by this enduring Genius

  • Quite simply the greatest artist of all time. When I first heard the Blue album it was the best musical experience of my life. Still sound great 30 years later

  • When I hear this song, I still think of you Debbie.

  • Such a beautiful speaking voice too. So calm and sweet. I wish I had been around at that time to see her when she was so young and cute. Born 25 years too late :(

  • I saw Joni in the UK in 1971, at the time I was a rock & roller and thought I was hot stuff, to be honest I only went to please my girlfriend, I was blown away and became an instant fan.

I felt she sang to ME & she was such a great singer, composer, guitar & piano player I never seen anything like her, it was a life changing experience, maybe because I am a scorpio too I felt her music touched my soul like no other artist.

  • This must have been such an incredible concert.

She's very "on" and in good voice during such a creative point in her magnificent career. It's always interesting to hear her dulcimer tunes performed solo instead of with James Taylor as they appeared originally on "Blue" the year before this concert. Not to take away anything from her, but JT's guitar on the original versions added some really nice harmonic movent and structure to these particular songs of Joni's. J.I.L.Y.

  • Love it!!!!

  • You could fall asleep every night to Joni, it's the music and the poetry, she's absolutely out there on her own, not many artists can be that influential, that is true practical magic.

  • I am very happy to have been born, mmm, well before 1972, because thereby I've had Joni in my world all along. :)

  • @ttoflea this makes me wish soooo much that I could have been born during her time, oh that would have been an honor.

  • @ttoflea If you were born before she started her career you haven't had her in your world all along.

I was born after 1972 so I've had her in my world all along ;-)

  • I want to die for not being born in 1972.

  • thanks joni!

  • Beautiful, the lady is a true musical genius

  • @sheffys my god! what a pristine performance! THIS HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF HIGH POINT IN AMERICAN MUSIC! EUGENE CORENO
