I understand that the original bible has at least two stories that were in fact closely copied from ancient Summerian texts, and the story of Jesus was not written until nearly 400 years after he seems to have lived. What very few historical writings there are of the man do not in any way fit the magical stories of the bible. I was not saying all christians are this way, but many seem to not know, or have forgotten that it was only 25 years ago that Catholics were killing protestants left and right. Many innocent people were slaughtered, and it was in the name of god this happened. It is not a far stretch to imagine the same type of behavior happening in the U.S. All it takes is a couple of respected fruitcakes to say "hey, were not paying attention" and bombs go off in our own land.
