This aesthetic is simply superb. I don't feel Brecht transfers to the Broadway stage well. Cindi Lauper is surprisingly good to me. No, she doesn't seem well trained vocally, but she does a fine job as an actress. I was impressed with her performance to say the least. Alan Cumming is great in this as well.

There are many many cast recordings of Threepenny Opera, there just wasn't one made of this cast for many reasons...most of Roundabout's shows don't get cast recordings, and this production was also very poorly reviewed and I don't think anyone wanted to spend the money to record it.
