@EkamTheJonasFan No I think she's judging Mormons pretty correctly. The saying is don't "judge a book by it's cover," not, "don't judge a book by everything that's in it." She's judging the religion and the church, not so much the people. I'm sure there's plenty of good Mormons, most don't believe blacks need to be slaves to get into one of the heavenly kingdoms, but they still follow a religion that says that is the case. Same goes for most faiths, pretty horrible religions, okay people.

It's best to own up when challenged by people like this and just say "yes, this is true and this is why..." Never lie, it will undermine the church's credibility.

I was just as shocked to learn these things about my faith. My pioneer lineage, everything I knew and believed in. The day I found out that Brigham young and Joseph Smith married women still married to other men and brigham even got one of them pregnant while her first husband was away on work for the lord. It's true. It's on the church's own website. I was shocked and confused. I just couldn't ignore that this was not right. Joseph marrying of 14 year old girls. It was too much.

You think you've checked your sources, but I can give solid evidence against many of the things you mentioned. Being a member myself, I know what is and isn't true about my religion. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints we don't just sit through 3 hours of church every week. It's a lifestyle.
