First off, evolution does not work like a linear ladder, but more like a branching tree. The different modern living species are more like cousins, and less like grandparents and grandchildren. Second there are plenty of animals in the fossil record with trasitional features. The realistic version of crocoducks would be the archeopterix and similar creatures. They have charateristics of both non-avian reptiles (crocodiles) and birds (ducks).

Actually, abiogenesis is the real "alternative" to God, not evolution. It speaks volumes when the people debating this are unable to grasp such a simple, fundamental scientific concept. Evolution does NOT explain the origin of life on Earth, only its diversity through the mechanism of natural selection. If theists weren't getting their knickers in such a collective twist, they might just stop and think about that!
Something to note: Ancient fossils have been found showing animals that had both bill or beak and teeth. But no one would be dumb enough to call it a crocoduck other a silly creationist.

Lets say that crocoducks DID exists. He then would have presented a picture of a hybrid of a crocoduck and some other animal. No matter what version of the world we would be in (which would be worlds either inhabitated by crocoducks or not), there are still things that doesn't exist because, well simply because they dont exist... You can't find a crocoduck in the fossil record because the only specimens are still living: most of today's musicians. In my opinion, crocoducks sound extremely annoying and look quite ugly as well.

Science does not care if God exists or not, science does not babble on the supernatural, it works on evidence, observation, experimentation, logics, and analysis. If a scientific theory by any means contradicts your dogma, so be it - sucks to be you mate.

@manstie no species could ever evolve like that because it would be have two unique features from two seperate lineages. if we ever found one of those, we wouldnt be able to classify it. it couldnt be classified as a bird because its got a crododile head and we couldnt classify it as crocodilla because its got a ducks body. it would be completely outside the entire evolutionary tree and we would have no idea how it got there.

Lets say that crocoducks DID exists. He then would have presented a picture of a hybrid of a crocoduck and some other animal. No matter what version of the world we would be in (which would be worlds either inhabitated by crocoducks or not), there are still things that doesn't exist because, well simply because they dont exist... You can't find a crocoduck in the fossil record because the only specimens are still living: most of today's musicians. In my opinion, crocoducks sound extremely annoying and look quite ugly as well.

Then in many years it will be proven a different way by other scientist. Some scientist proof the 9/11 attack was a controled demolition by the chemicals they found in the debris, and other scientist have proof that it wasn't. You just pick which idea suits you best.
