If you don't know what he stands for, listen to any number of policy speeches he's given. This wasn't the night for a platform speech. Or take three seconds and go to his website for in-depth discussion. The internet is an amazing tool, tool.
I am still waiting to hear something- anything of substance come out of this guy's mouth! "We need change!" Yes, BUT HOW?!!? He never says how things are going to change or what his plan is to change things. I can't believe he has fooled so many people. I guess people are just so sick of Bush that they will take anything at this moment. My prediction, he will serve one term after running this country into the ground! Yeah, the country will change, but not for the better!
I decided to cross party lines early in 2007 after reading his books and doing a lot of research. I am a woman but as Oprah stated early, I am a free woman who can make informed decisions for myself. I have traveled extensively this past year (especially to south east Asia) and we need this chance at hope and change for our country and our international image. He has my vote!
I think it's so cool that Obama can appeal to democrats and republicans. We need a leader for president, not another politician, if we want keep the American dream alive. Way to go 2morrow2day4u!
As a citizen of MN and a supporter of Obama, I have to say that name-dropping Wellstone is probably a great way to earn support among the older generations that he needs to make gains with. Some younger voters might not even know who Paul Wellstone was or what he did for our state, but though that is a sad state of affairs, he's doing quite well with the young voters anyway.
20,000 people... I just read an article today saying "Clinton Draws Big Crowd in SD" or something of the sort. If her big is 7,500, I don't want to know how dismal her regular turnout is.
People are sick of politicians out of Washington slimed with political residue. We are ready for a new leader who will be ready to lead in the RIGHT direction on DAY ONE and all the days after!
Barack Obama, We're on the front lines for you. We all hope to deliver you a win in at least a dozen states.
I'm upset with cnn. They showed about 3 minutes of this speech live today, then cut to commercial. So I was channel surfing, and landed on c-span, and there was his wife speaking in Delaware last Thursday. I was most impressed. She is as eloquent as her husband. They will make a great (if not the best) First Family. You already know he's gonna be a great president. Get out and vote. Obama 08. It's time for change.
Anyone notice how Clinton's video comments require "approval"?????? What?!?!?!?!? Barack will bring transparency and honesty to the White House. Yes we can!!!!
I am wondering if an American can help answer a question for me. Do polictal parties produce manifestos that contain all their major polices and changes that are to be impliemented during their term in office? If so where can I read it, cause google doesn't help. Thanks.
out of the 22,000 people who were there i'm sure about 1% of them weren't looking at him. THATS ME IN THE FRONT ROW IN THE WHITE SHIRT HOLLAA OBAMA 08!!
There were over 20,000 people in the crowd today, and there was a line over a mile long outside the Target Center. At the campaign offices all of the phones were ringing off the hook - for three days and the response was always "sorry the event is already sold out"
I hardly think that there wasn't amazing interest in this man!!!
This video was but one of many amazing points in his very inspiring and substantive hour long speech.
They were watching the video monitors -- cameras got a better angle than many of us did (he was sorrunded on all sides by people -- the were no empty sections in the Target center that day!)
I was there, it was awesome, I loved what the senator had to say about making college affordable and having young people do community service. Also when he talked about the environment and the economy it was powerful!
This has to be our next President. We don't need to create dynasty in this country. We have already had 20 years of Bush/Clinton. Good-luck Obama on Super Tuesday.
we really need a democrat in office
