  • that was really well done. wish we'd seen casey from the 87 series and april and april meeting each other. i think the humans should have gotten a lot more of a look in than they did. but brilliant :)

  • so 03 Shredder, the one Shredder that was menacing, intimidating, and one of the few characters that actually stands a chance against the turtles all at once, and in a giant enhanced mechanized suit, was defeated not by teamwork, ingenuity, or luck, but by an over muscled and pea brained hippo and rhino.

  • If they make turtles forever 2 I hope a different company makes it that has a union corporation and takes theyre time on it and not rush it like they did on this one.

  • Ha, 2:47 2003 Shredder does his Emperor Palpatine impression! XD

I'd like to think, storywise anyways, seeing the original Mirage Turtles in action somehow influenced the 80's Turtles to become grittier later with the Lord Dregg story arc. I know they originally changed the tone of the 80's series to compete with darker shows like "Batman: The Animated Series" and "X-Men."

Oh, and a TMNT show done in the Mirage style would be BOSS!

  • Just watched Phelous' review of this and I have to agree with him; this depiction of the 80's Turtles is atrocious, a complete insult! The fact that even the New Michelangelo was getting annoyed with them shows how wrong it really is; the Old Turtles acted nothing like this!

Also, I'm loving the original Black and White Turtles here; their depiction was spot on! They were serious and dark, but had their light hearted moments too! I wish the newer series could've been more like that!

  • @Bowmaj21 I honestly found Phelous' review to be way too biased. He made a few valid points, yes, and this movie isn't perfect, but Phelous got overemotional and seemed to miss most of the good aspects the movie had going. Besides that, I feel that he was concentrating too much on the pilot season of the 87 cartoon, but the truth is that the 87 cartoon started getting a lot goofier after that initial season. It's just that the pilot season seems to be what everyone remembers most.

  • I guess you're right, but I still agree that there's a strong possibilty that the makers of this special were themselves biased against the old series!

They could've still made the jokes that they did about how the New Turtles don't understand the Old ones, but still make the Old ones competent! And like Phelous said, they had the Old Turtles do WAY too many things that they simply never did in the 80's show!

And for the record, they cracked jokes in the old show, but they were at least funny!

  • @Bowmaj21 Your mileage may vary on 'funny.' None of the 87 Turtles jokes ever stuck with me or were very memorable. I don't even remember laughing at that show.

  • @Bowmaj21 ...That's funny, because it sounded like you just did describe the 03 turtles. Dark and serious, but with light hearted moments.

  • Not as dark as the comics though, because like the old 80's series, the 2K3 series is aimed at kids!

  • @Bowmaj21 Yes, but 2K3 is still much darker than the 80s series.

  • YAY BEST MOVIE EVER

  • rocksteady and beebop saves the day

  • All we can do is thank the people who made this alot. If they were still alive. Are they still alive?

  • @TheSpoony00 Yeah. In fact, Eastman's working on one of the new generation comics.

  • This is the first time watching this movie. What made this one an unedited one? What was the difference between the two?

  • The Unedit "Turtles Forever" is way better then the edit version

  • I love how even Chr'ell is freaked out by the Mirage Turtles.

  • "I sure hope this thing sells."

Oooh you have no idea ^_^

  • 6:31 lol Tatsu reference xD.

  • Thumbs up if you like the 80s Animated Turtles and especially Bebop & Rocksteady being the ones to defeat The Shredder! Classic.

  • Does anybody else want to see an episode about The Giggle Ray or is that just me?

  • That was the greatest thing ever. I never even knew about this before. Who the F&*# clicked dislike are you demented?

  • 2k Raph : He's Just too strong

87 Mikey: tell me about it, even thrash cans have no effect on him

    2k Raph: ooo brother

    LMAO!

    me: NO SHIT!!!

  • I love the ending. I feel warmth all over whenever I see that scene of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird working on the very first issue of TMNT. Love those guys. Such a shame that none of them are part of the franchise anymore.

  • @krisfrosz133 Well Kevin Eastman is working on the new TMNT comic for IDW.

  • *The Shredder looks at the video*

The Shredder: FOOLS! I was lead to my demise by the 12 turtles!

*The Shredder screams and hits the dislike button*

LOL That's probably what happened to the bar up there in green :P

  • Giggle ray! I'm dyin' already! roflol

  • @ChibiJessykat LMAO! da fucc is a giggle ray?

  • "Shredder, has been shredded!

    YEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

  • I love Raph at 1:00 and the classic turtles when they try to attack the shredder at 1:08

  • Great Moment at the end with Kevin and Peter. WOW!!:D

  • now that's truly the end of the shredder!

  • Now that I think about it, this ending pretty neatly summarizes why Shredder and Kang did so little of use throughout the movie: when everything's been resolved, Shredder's first plan is to go right back to what they normally did, and even lets the '87 turtles hitchhike.

The '87 Shredder and crew? They were in it because fighting the turtles is just plain fun. Why screw that up by actually trying to kill them?

  • "Boy I sure hope this thing sells."

    Oh, don't worry. It will.

  • To think. To fate of this universe lied in the hands of Bebop and Rocksteady. Umm, go figure.

  • TURTLE POWER!!!

  • That's a brilliant cartoon. Bloody hell.

  • So bebop and rocksteady end up saving the day?

  • Mirage Leo = Jason Griffith = EPIC!!! :D

  • Best-TMNT-animated movie-EVER !

  • why they make this scene uncut, we actually gotta see how splinter explains that he'll stop at nothin to kill the turtles even if it kills himself

  • @01RICHMUSIC You mean shredder not splinter.

  • @MetalBru01 didnt realize that, thanks

  • @01RICHMUSIC no prob!

  • Holy shit 87 Donatello saved the day!

  • i love how this begins and ends with the mirage turtles :D

  • 2003 Baxter Stockman: Wait WHAT!!??!!! ??why am I white In youre Dimmension???

    1987 Baxter Stockman:I dont know : /

  • @PREZILLA2009 lol I think the better question should be

2003 Baxter: Why am I a human fly in this dimension?!

1987 Baxter: Why am I a disembodied brain in yours?!

  • man they should really have a show on the first tmnts man, love em

  • X-Men, Teen Titans and Dare Devil = Spider (pulp fiction)

    1984 TMNT = Amazing Fantasy #15

    1987 TMNT = 1960s Amazing Spider-Man (with a touch of Toei Spider-Man)

TMNT anime = Toei Spider-Man (minus live action)

    First 3 TMNT films = Spider-Man films

Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation = Either Toei Spider-Man (minus a few vehicles) or 1977 The Amazing Spider-Man (plus more action)

2K3 TMNT = any modern Spider-Man show or film that's the most accurate to the original comics

  • 2k3 Shredder disapproves :D

  • Love dumbass Shredder! I'm going to zap you all with a giggle ray!

  • They have to make a Turtles forever 2!!!!

  • I SWEAR THAT NICK SHOULD MAKE A 2D ANIMATED TMNT SHOW BASED EXACTLY FROM THE COMICS THAT WOULD BE ON MTV!!!!

SOMEONE PLEASE, PLEASE GET THIS REQUEST TO NICK SOMEHOW!!!! PLEASE!!!! PLEASE!!!!

  • I gotta admit I am quite amazed how Jason Griffith potrayed '84 Leonardo and how he made him sound badass.

  • @gigadeathlord i knew he leo sounded like someone familiar

  • is it weird that krang and 80's shredder now have the technology to take over the world now?

  • If you notice Krang doesn't hurt at all when he starts killing the Classic Turtles since he never showed up in the comics. It also doesn't effect Bebop or Rocksteady

  • I´m almost 30 now but I loved this, I will always be from the TMNT generation, thanks so much for posting!

  • @heroesytumbas I know what you mean. I enjoyed this too and I'm 32. I also consider myself part of the original TMNT generation. I watched from about 89-91. (I saw the first epidsode in 87') I had no idea they were still going! The Angry Video Game Nerd's review of classic TMNT was intriguing. That prompted me to give this a watch.

  • ok ok u can let go now......don't make hurt u

  • the comic turtles scare shredder by GROWLING!! YEAAYYYAA!!!

  • cried at the end too... the ninja turtles were a huge part of my childhood.

  • I actually cried a little, I never knew the new turtles ended this way. Wow, just wow.

  • I'm thinking that when those guys created TMNT way back when, they were going for a Film Noir approach to things. Which would explain the grim and grittiness.

  • In the end, Eastman and Laird had NO IDEA WHAT WAS COMING!

  • The only thing I'm disappointed is the prime shredder was useless.

  • @Dsaberz haha, he was ALWAYS useless!

  • @Dsaberz At least it makes sense that he didn't appear much in the 1984 TMNT, just one episode.

  • Just brought this on DVD today. Best Turtle movie ever made. So glad the UK version of the DVD was the uncut widescreen version. Made it all the more better.

  • Universe Prime was saved and Shredder is dead except for the other shredder

  • 8:13 - 8:44 demetion zero the true begin aka our world

  • @XtonishingRavish that is an amazing analogy, well done sir

  • "Phew, that was an easy fix!"

    "The master will be pleased."

Well, since the Utrom Shredder did have suicidal tendencies ...

  • i hope the next tmnt series is a continuation from the previous shows because i want to know if today's shredder will return, or the turtles discover other turtle dimentions like an evil version of the turtles

  • @bluebelt1235

Nope. After this was made, the TMNT copyrights was bought by Nickolodean, who plan to make their own CGI animated show based loosely on the comics, but featuring Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang and the Technodrome.

But it also means they now own EVERYTHING TMNT, no more TMNT comics from Mirage (aka: Turtle Prime.) No continuation of the 04 TV series or the 87. This movie ended both series. (even though they kinda got the 87's wrong. but no biggy.)

  • 4:41 Serves him right for using "cheap mutant labor".

  • Comics= the best Turtles.

    2003 series= the best Shredder.

If you'd combine them, it would make for a truly awesome series. But Shredder should be human.

  • Nostalgia Critic reviewed this movie as awesome. I'm glad he was right.

    Best TMNT ever... :)

  • This is the best thing to come from 4kids. It brought back tons of memories for me

  • in a way, this whole movie seems to be the TMNT version of DC's Crisis on Infinite earths. with the new shredder in the role of the anti-monitor; willing to destory all life in the mulitverse, no matter what

  • Wouldn't it have made more sense to call them, "Bebop and Rockstupid"?

  • Comment removed

  • NICE ONE 87 TURTLES EXPLODING THROWING STARS ARE AWESOME

  • i wonder how their colors were decided when making it into a show?

  • Now THIS is how you make a series finale. @%ck yeah!!!

  • (0:56) Oh come on. The 1987 turtles weren't THAT pathetic. Give'em some credit.

  • @JadenAlexis Also, the producers dumbed down the '80s turtles considerably. They were just as brave and competent as the new-age turtles. Why didn't the producers include "Turtles fight with honor" (from the '80s series)? The '80s turtles would also say "It's Ninja Time." It seems to me that the producers realized that this movie wouldn't be as successful if they didn't suck some of the life out of the '80s turtles and, instead, channel it into the new turtles. Still, I love this movie.

  • @martincommrad Very true.

  • @JadenAlexis They are not pathetic they are just childish, They act like the little brothers of the 2003 turtles.

  • seeing this kinda made me sad. It made me remember how when I was a child I would become depressed because an awesome movie like this one was over. It also brought back a lot of turtly memories and made me feel like a little kid again. In my opinion this is one of the best movies ever (even though there were a few inacurate things)

  • This multiverse Turtles Forever Special is amazing! Great as a long time Turtle fan. Ma Halo~

  • I love how they reverse the production process of cartoons to simulate reality erasing itself.

  • This was a great movie. I hope some day maybe the 44th anniversary of the TMNT. They'll make a re-dub of this movie, the 1980's turtles with the ORIGINAL cast from the show. That's right! Philip Banks as Shredder again!

  • Chy'rell Shredder, I hope you burn in Hell for being the most sadistic Shredder ever...

  • 1987 Donatello: "Looks like we just found something he's vulnerable to!"

    Mirage Raphael: "Yeah... turtles!"

    2003 Donatello: "The Technodrome!"

    Krang: "Hmmm... go figure...."

  • "Yeah okay, 's okay, you can let go, let go now... don't make me hurt you."

    I love you, Raph. :)

  • @1'00 you saved our lives! we're eternally grateful!

  • The Shredder found and didn't like the movie.

  • 1:01 Umm... That was kinda cute lol

  • Well, even though a part of me is rather curious about 80s April's ultimate fate, this was a good movie

  • 5:02 wait, SHOULDN'T SHE BE SADDER THAT HER FARTHER JUST DIED RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER?!?!?

  • @BRiTDRAG2 Her father died long before when he began his plan to wipe out the multiverse. She pleaded for the Shreddar to give up his vendetta against the turtles as it would've meant the end of everything. But his hatred was too strong for him to stop, despite the heartfelt plea from Karai. So in a sense, she mourned for him at that moment, as she realized her father was truly gone.

  • @Partyboy22 wow, i never thought of it that way, but at least it won't happen again...

  • It was such an ass move to not include the "suicide revelation" in the original TV airing. Did they REALLY feel that it wasn't important enough to be included?

  • @SivakD, I think they were just too weak to jump down. The universe was almost completely "whited out," so they were probably close to death when Shredder finally loosened his grip.

  • And so for the very first time, the day is saved! Thanks to...Bebop and Rocksteady?!

About time the villain's henchmen saved the day for once!

  • Got to love Shredder, we don't have to many bad guys that are bad for the sake of being bad, even if that means taking out everyone and everything! Now days we have so many wanna be bad guys that you only find out in the end, just didn't get enough hugs growing up, kind of sad :(

  • @KitsuneNights and that's why he's a kick ass villain, i mean he's pretty much the most heartless villain you can think of, you don't get that alot

  • Got to love Shredder, we don't have to man bad guys that are bad for the sake of being bad even if that means taking out everyone and everything! Now days we have so many wanna be bad guys that you only find out in the end, just didn't get enough hugs growing up!

  • Honestly, watching this cartoon made me realize something. The 80's cartoon reminds me how my childhood was great, cool and fun. The 03 cartoon reminds me on how growing up was a bitch and made me forget on how life should be taken too seriously like some psychopath. I really hope they make another one.

  • You'd think the mirage turtles would have jumped out of Shredder's hand after he opened it the first time.

  • this movie would make an amazing video game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lost505mayhem i was thinking the same thing, it could be the plot of the next Ninja Turtles Smash-Up if they ever think to make one

  • i always luv the bumbling characters those 2 been my favorites

  • BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY SAVE THE DAY

  • i like how this one Adds karai's logic.

  • I don't know why, but that ending with the last quote from the first issue of the TMNT comic and the fourth-wall breaking moment about Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird after, for me, sums up what this movie is all about.

The Ninja Turtles, their past, present, and the effect they've probably had on so many people's lives.

  • hey i made the uncut verison on dvd who what a copy

    ps

i just relize at the end

  • they need to make one more tmnt season there a alot of things everyone has to know. why wasn't Serling in the movie? will hun be de-mutated? when will Darrius Don make another evil attempt on Cody back in in 2105? will the Shredder ever return? THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

  • @bluebelt1235 i soooo agree with you!

  • Bebop and Rocksteady messing up and accidentally saving the day is the best call back to the original show.

    great movie: )

  • that rocked!!! thanks for putting this version up you rule!!! *high fives*

  • "The Shredder... has been shredded!"

  • @Momentum139 , that phrase appears in the first comic book ever of TMNT ;)

  • My only complaint is that the 80s turtles weren't that useless and childish. Otherwise, this is one of the best uses of the multiverse theme that I've ever seen. They could've easily used a time travel theme instead of a multiverse one because that's essentially what this is: a time travel story

  • I laughed so loudly at Ch'rell's reaction to the Mirage Turtles on his windshield. (1:20)

  • alot of epic voice actors

    -goku - mirage raph

    -sonic - mirage leo

    -yugioh - 1980's leo

    -ash ketchum - 2003 apirl

  • @MrHmongRooster lol on the last one

  • they r the teenage mutant ninja turtles. they strike hard, and fade away.......into the night

  • "If destroying them means the end of everything, THEN SO BE IT!"

Reminds me of the end of the second movie:

"Shredder, you'll destroy us all!" "THEN SO BE IT!"

  • And so the multiverse is saved by.... Bebop and Rocksteady?! That was an interesting twist.

  • @NickTrickste that was an easy fix. Rocksteady: the master will be pleased. Che'rell: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

  • @NickTrickste what a tweest!!

  • Um, did they realize they left the 80s bad guys with the Techn-Utrome? I guess now they can make up for how lame they were during this movie.

  • i luv the 80s-90s turtles better

  • @Chaos2ThaWorld1 Heck yeah! Me too! X3

  • I noticed something about the Mirage Turtles and the Turtles from the 1987 show and the 2003 show Turtles. The Mirage turtles all look the same but with different weapons and different voices. The 1987 Turtles looked the same but with different colored headbands and elbow and knee pads as well as different weapons and voices. The 2003 Turtles definitely embrace the idea of indivualism both visually and mentally. Talk about contrast between the Turtle generations.

  • Did you notice Leonardo sounds like Shadow?

  • @Sarioc6132 He's voiced by the same guy! His name is Jason Griffith! He also voiced Sonic in Sonic X.

  • BRAVO! even though they kinda shat on the 80s Turtles, in the end it came together pretty good!

  • Wayne Yeung was probably the real creator of the Ninja Turtles.

  • The shot at 5:41, it shows how visually different the 2000s Turtles are from their 1987 counterparts. The thing that makes the 1987 turtles different is the colors of their head bands and belt initials, whereas with the 2000s group, they have different head bands as well as skins that are colored different shades of green and each has a different height. Talk about individualism.

  • So if the Mirage Turtles are killed by something outside their dimension, every version of reality goes with them. But, I suspect, if they are killed by something from their dimension, reality will remain intact.

  • B&W TMNT= Hardcore

    80's TMNT=Silly

    03 TMNT=Serious

  • I hope this Uncut is on DVD.

  • @cyclopstb, Nope, I'm sorry, but only the cut version is on DVD. I bought the DVD recently and it had no special features or any of the uncut footage. All you can do with it is watch it and select a scene. Sorry.

  • The contrast between the Turtle generations was great to watch! Can't wait to get it on DVD.

  • that was a lot of fun = )

  • THIS WAS ALOT BETTER THAN THE 4KIDS CUT. STILL COULDVE BEEN BETTER. USING OLD MUSIC IN HIGH QUALITY INSTEAD OF A CUSTOM TUNE FOR 1987 TURTLES ETC. YOU ALSO HAVE TO REALIZE THAT KEVIN EASTMAN AND PETER LAIRD'S WAS A PARODY OF FRANK MILLERS DAREDEVIL AND THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS ETC. BUT PEOPLE CONSIDER IT TOO DARK DESPITE IT SUPPOSED TO BE A PARODY. AND EVEN FRANK MILLER HIMSELF THINKS HIS STUFF ISNT DARK BUT ACTUALLY A LITTLE TOO JOLLY. SO WHAT DOES FRANK MILLER THINK IS "DARK AND GRITTY"? OH SHI

  • @NYG4LIFE123 I AGREE. INSTEAD OF SHOWING HOW 2003 RAPH WAS LIKE MIRAGE TURTLES OR HOW 2003 MIKEY WAS LIKE THE 1987 TURTLES THEY COULDVE SHOWN HOW 1987 LEONARDO WAS LIKE THE 2003 OR EVEN THE MIRAGE TURTLES IN TERMS OF BEING A STICK IN THE MUD. LIKE HOW MIRAGE MIKEY ADMIRED THEIR BELT BUCKLES ETC. 4:58 I WILL NOT I AM NO. 4:44 SURPRISE! WE'RE ALL TRANSPORTED TO NOTHINGNESS AND DEATH! 5:56 WERENT POSITIONED LIKE THAT. 6:02 LEONARDO CONFORMED TO 1987 TURTLES. 7:44 BALANCE.

  • LOL seeing the '03 shredder freaking out was hysterical. XD

  • great movie 10*

  • Old plus new. Not good, but very amusing combo ^_^b

  • Lol "Don't make me hurt you."
