Cowdog1967, it's a border collie. There's a possibility it's an English sheepdog, but I'd say this is a border collie.

I LOVE this song. I've sung it so much through the years, especially on hard-workin' days. Brings back so many good memories of watching Sesame Street with my son back in the mid 80s. He's 26 now! Love YouTube!
