@janak19771977 If you look at our 2010 general election manifesto, we're against dirty forms of electricity generation and in favour of clean forms. And we clearly want industry here in the UK. Indeed, we were one of the only voices against Vestas leaving the country, as the only UK-located wind turbine manufacturer. Low-carbon living is not living in a cave. It will mean more employment, stronger local communities and cleaner air, amongst other things. (Scott, GP Press Office)
@greenpartyew ok...so what clean sources of eletricity are there? wind? well at most you can get 5%out of it ot you destabilise the grid not to mention the wind is not reliable and the eletricity is uneconomical. so when the wind is actually blowing it is damm expensive and when it is not blowing you got candle light dinners.
the same goes for solar pannels. manifest is very nice but unfortunatly this is a real world
Greens all the way i am glad my vote went that way.. More trees less Bush's and yo yo yo yo Tarzan down with money grabbing Corporations. Green Party all the way

The Green Party are standing up for local communities and are standing up against the power of big business and want to help local shops. They only accept money from ethical sources and will not be controlled by those with cash like Labour and the Tories. They support local farming and agriculture which has been left to rot under both Labour and Tory governments. They are the ONLY poltical party i would consider voting for.
The Greens are our only hope for a fair, sustainable & socially inclusive society. The rest make noises that they say are 'green' & yet when you look at their so-called green policies, they are just more unfair taxes or laws of control dressed up as environmental concern or worse still just plain old lies which serve a secret agenda which the 'public' are not privi to.
Good luck Caroline, we need The REAL Green Party in Parliament not these Turquoise Tories.
I find it ironic how the Greens are against Nuclear Power.
