you should leave 2 between each branch so there is 2 and you can see them both

@saberXelite Yeah, he said that, but there are very little chances that the diamond will be in between those 2(if you dig every 3 blocks). So, digging every 3 blocks saves more time

Surelog, I watch loads of your videos, But that is not the point of this comment.

The point of this comment is that you are spacing your branches 3 blocks apart but if you want LOADS of cobblestone you will want to space your branches 1 or 2 blocks apart and you will find that you will find allot more gold, diamonds, redstone, iron and coal as well.

I make this comment from experience of playing minecraft for about 1 1/2 - 2 years.

Press F3 and look at y to see how close u are from Bedrock Bedrock is from 8 or 7 -0

I have found diamonds on all my survival maps now :D but not to criticize but in my opinion u should only do to spaces in between each branch because just now I was mining with three blocks in between and when I accidentally dug into the wall I found 7 diamonds in one row where u couldn't see them from either branch but that is probly rare so ur way works too :D Ur vid really helped me!! @bunnybread456 Hmm. Its because you need certain tools to mine certain items. for example, you cannot mine gold with a stone pickaxe, you need an iron one. Mainly, because iron is harder to find than gold, AND diamond. You have to have an iron pickaxe to mine diamond. You have to have a wooden pickaxe to mine cobblestone, and, you need your good ol' hands to mine wood to make the pickaxe. Go look on Minecraft Wiki. Very helpful. Also I'd recommend some of the how to plays about minecraft. :) GL

I use the branch method for mining as well, but I only do 2 blocks between shafts. Also, I start at the top and work my way down, and fill all lava with gravel. that way it's easier to deal with on the lower levels.
