The reason the ANC stays on is because the power button is linked particularly to the bluetooth functionality. Hence, having a separate ANC buytton lets you have noise cancelling via the wired headset. It would be quite annoying to have it switch off every time you turned the bluetooth off. That's why Nokia decided to make it as such, and in my opinion that's a good thing.
Please review your personal feedback before making it a negative point on a review for next time.
It didnt occour to you that it sometimes is sometimes a wanted feature to use ANC without any music playing? Every ANC-headset I've seen has this feature..
Hey, maybe you can help me. I noticed that you are using Windows Vista or 7. I also have Nokia bluietooth headphones, I have Windows 7 on my laptop, but the sound quality is terrible. There are no low sounds. I guess I've got problems with drivers. Maybe you could tell me exact name of drivers or even provide me? Thanks in advance
@mlsauron Hey there! Well, it depends on what brand laptop, and drivers you've used. For my dell I had to seperately download the broadcomm drivers for bluetooth :)
@boybandreject00 So maybe you can gimme a direct link of that or somo other help? I've got Acer Aspire 5739 G. And how to check drivers, which I already have got?
@mikelgarcia2300 if iPod has bluetooth then yes, if not, you may try a bluetooth adapter of some sort, i've seen they excist for ipods but not exactly sure how they work.. Don't know if this helped :D
thanks for a great review....Tokyo can be as noisy as your City so noise reduction is nice to have, but how about the microphone? Is it as natural as other headsets? How is it with skype running on a Windows 7?
Actually the reason the ANC stays on when you turn off the bluetooth is so you can have noise cancellation in say an airplane whilse you sleep. It uses less power draw and as far as I am concerned its a nice feature. The owners will get used to it.
I test this headphone with IPOD touch and IPHONE and the sound is much better than when it connected to my N900. ^.^
This Headset connected to most Bluetooth device.

The reason the ANC stays on is because it can also be used when the device is connected via cable to non-bluetooth devices. Don't be stupid!
