harmonic bends can be made by adding 12.. for example 5th fret of the 3rd string.. 5th fret +12= 17.. 17th fret is the harmonic tap.. its not really a tap just a slight brush lol! try it .. it really works lol!

its because its an octave higher. An octave higher its the easiest spot to get an harmonic but its not the only one. You can also get easy harmonics 3,5,7 and 9 frets higher. There are also artificial harmonics in which you can get the harmonic at practically any place.try it!
