  • some great tunes here and elsewhere on your site(s). Well done with the teaching/sharing etc ;o)

  • That looks really fun to play, great job!

  • Nice job, but sounded like an Irish tune. Those old Germans and Norski's along the SD and ND border want that stomp, stomp when they are dancing the polkas.

  • Yup - the tunes are Irish, not German or Scandinavian, and I preferred to place the emphasis on the bass in the accompanying guitar, rather than on the off-beat which is the hallmark of traditional polka rhythms. :-)

  • Absolutely brilliant. Great tunes and well played. My fingers are too big for the mandolin, I'm afraid, and my pick would go at only quarter speed. I'm jealous.

  • Thanks for the kind words. The playing wasn't 100% accurate here and there - I really did it as a bit of fun - but that's the sort of speed these pieces are played at in sessions. Actually, in sessions, I'm normally the backing guitar player, but I wanted to have a crack at the tunes for a change! :-)

  • Don't be so self-effacing. It was great.

  • awsume Will :D

  • Do you remember all the pieces you play?

  • Most of the time - but I have to brush up one the more complex ones if I'm doing them "live"... :-)

  • wau that's really awsome mate xD !
