I know most people think not all the MMX games were so good, and that X7 was bad, but i think all of them hold playing potential. I would play any Mega Man X games handed to me simply because i just love the mega man series, which game is not very important to me. All of them are all as good as all of them are, which is pretty damn good.

Despite this song always being officially named "Variable X, It will always be considered Zero's theme. Every single time it plays, it involves Zero. While he talks to X, his death, the opening to X5 (A game that is solely based around Zero's origin), and when he comes back in X6. It was, and always will be, synonymous with Zero.

This game IS my childhood. I played this again after a few years, and almost started crying when I heard Zero's death theme. X3-X8 were mediocre, X2 was great, but X was just genius. Bravo, Capcom.

I was so pissed when Zero died. He was my favorite char. But I guess that is supposed to fuel X's willpower to defeat Sigma. Megaman X is pure awesomeness. Definitely a classic.  It's a good thing your friend let you borrow his SNES.
