I took a ride on the St. Charles line in 1984, and I think that those were all Perley-Thomas cars at that time. They had digital fareboxes and newer metal doors, but the interiors still looked old and mostly original. I don't recall the car numbers, nor any differences in models. I also distinctly recall the old buzzers that went "rat-tat-tat-tat-tat" when a passenger pulled the stop-request cord.
