When I install mods my Oblivion crashes what am I doing wrong?

@Vidda90 One or more of your mods are conflicting each other. Manually disable one at a time and start your game up until it stops crashing. Once it stops crashing, you've found the mod that was conflicting. You'll have to delete that mod.

@wewtskyrim I probably will, but it won't be for a while after the game is released. One reason is because my first play-through is usually without mods, and another is that the really good mods usually don't come out for a while after release.

@Orik960 Glad you like the video! I made it because when new modders come to the nexus site, you have to wade through 50 tons of anime and hentai just to get to the mods that really improve the game. I know some of these mods are a tiny bit on the anime side, but I made this video when I was 13.

@alexapaquette sadly nothing. this is why I bought oblivion for the pc. reason why? because since all of oblivion's file are on your hard drive on the pc you can add/remove/alter them. on the console the files are on the Blu ray/dvd and can't be changed. Modding is one of the bigger reasons IMHO for playing a game on the PC if it has console ports.

The only good mod here I like is um... None. These change gameplay to much in my opinion and the alternative start is just stupid and a waste of time installing, you will want to play through the sewer your first time and then just save before you leave. Mods here like the map and loading screen ones are personal preference but there is nothing that actually enhances gameplay here at all. No graphic improving mods, no balancing mods etc... Just pointless things.

What is the race changer mod? Can't find it.

@TheRufio12 Use the command console (~) to type in 'showracemenu' . Set your new race, however, do NOT hit confirm. This will reset your players stats. Instead, after setting your appearance to your liking, open the console again (you're not going to type anything this time) and hit Esc and save your game. Then go to load and reload the game you just saved.

You'll now be back in the game with your new appearance, but still have all of your stats.
