If your using the dynamite I believe you can hide under a miner hat by holding down on the analog. I might not be remembering right though, last time I played this game was way back when you could still rent 64 games from blockbuster.

If you want to save yourself from the dynamite, duck. Kirby will have a hat when he ducks and you will be protected. witch makes dynamite more useful in the game.

i have this on my hbc. because i can edit the controls on wii 64. i can go from gc controller, or wiimote and nunchuck. and i can switch it so i can use the analog stick instead of the dpad.

What are you talking about? You can use the thumb stick on the gamecube controller for this game. I just downloaded it yesterday, and I was playing it with the gamecube controller and I was able to move with the thumb stick.

Actually, if you have the rock & bomb combo, you are supposed to hold down, then kirby will put a construction hat on, and it will protect him from the blast. :)

One of my favorite Kirby games is "Kirby Super Star" for the SNES. It's available on the VC and features an interesting variety of games. And there's the ability for two people to play at one time. You should check that out sometime!

Correction. You can use the gamecube controller's analogue stick to control kirby. Well it did work for me. Sure in N64 original, it wasn't an option.It doesn't allow for variable speed though given that it was based on a d pad.
