This will work if u need a usb charger. Personally i see a waste of a charger plug since you're also charging with this modded usb chargr. I have a bunch of these usb plugs laying around

ummm do you realize that a wall charger for the phone only has two wires? one positive and one negative. its ment only to charge the phone. a usb has four wires one for power and one for ground the other two are for transferring data. now you can still do this if all you wana do is charge your phone but your not gona be able to put music and other stuff onto your phone from your computer becusae the end you cutt off from the wall charger dosnt have wires for transferring data. good idea tho.

the success of performing this tutorial correctly hinders on whether or not the phone charger was fabricated with the necessary electrical cables because it is a charger if they don't need the wires they probably did not put them there.

@iamsuperbleeder not evan wast 5 buck if you got a phone that uses a univeral connecter like micro usb wich all smart phones and not as smart but higher end j2me phones and all lg and sanyo phones you dont need any spicific type it dont make no diffencts what kind of phone it is or dont matter that its a phone its jusr a mini usb and good will has a shit load of them

Actually, I have an older phone that has bluetooth and still says I cannot transfer data through blue tooth, so I am gonna have to hack it.

Plus I can not find the cable on the internet... technology expires to fast today.

This is really dumb. Instead of screwing round like that, just get a data cable for your phone. Then you can charge your phone and at the same time use the phone as a modem or transfer pics and music to the phone, or use it to send spam sms to your enemies or...

my normal phone charger has a output from:

5.0v -> 0.7A

the usb port has:

5.0v -> max 0.1A

i need 0.6A more

This might be a great idea. Except when using an aftermarket charger made in some third-world country... Then the wire colors may be different, and when you guess at what wire pairs get connected, you may short out your phone, or blow the USB bus on your computer...

But its a great idea, and BitPim is definately the way to go after the fact!

but even if you have an usb cable, it really doesn't help unless you download the file manager disc (samsung etc) and it's not really a hack, it's more like a usb cable tutorial :)
