  • Hey Beno,

Tomorrow im going fishing at station pier. What bait do you reckon I should use ?

    Pipis ?

  • @MAXFishingAdventures I would be using pilchards, garfish, squid as it is a great pier for big fish. People have even caught elephants off station pier! Drops into deep water so gummies and snapper are not uncommon. Barracouta are also a common catch using metal lures.

  • @BenosFishing Thanks a lot ! :)

and if you dont mind me asking, what jetty is that and where is it located ? : )

  • @MAXFishingAdventures Sorry its a rule I follow I do not trade/give out spots. It's no where near station pier.

  • @BenosFishing Fe then :)

  • were and how did you catch the live bait?

  • @ChristianBradbury Any where along the bay, mostly around Mornington pier, just berley up with tuna oil and bread crumbs. Use bait traps, i got mine from rays outdoors.

  • @BenosFishing thanks :)

  • do you ever use hardbodies or softplastics?,

  • @FishermanDavo Hi Davo, Yes i do use soft plastics, caught some good size flatties which were caught on a 3 inch gulp smelt minnow.

  • do you ever catch squid there?

  • @dazzaj38 Not that I know of.... You can catch squid over nearly any reef structure though.

  • They were baby mullet, yes we used bait traps.

    Cheers

  • what was the live bait you used, and did you just use a bait trap?
